2023 Player Outlook
The Patriots went all out on kickers in the 2023 NFL Draft, taking a punter and using a fourth round pick on placekicker Chad Ryland. Ryland's ascension into the fourth round is a little puzzling, as he only had an 82.6% completion rate on his field goals and even missed an extra point. He did show that he has a decent leg, with a long of 53 yards, so maybe Bill Belichick thinks he can develop him into a long-term solution. Even so, Ryland will likely experience a learning curve in the first season and will not help out your fantasy teams in 2023.
