On Friday, October 27th, we have an 11-game NBA DFS main slate on tap on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have all the stars in play to choose from for our NBA DFS lineups including Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Victor Wembanyama, Jayson Tatum, and Stephen Curry. There are also no shortage of injuries that we'll deal with up to and beyond roster lock, but some of those players that are ultimately ruled out will help us shape our lineups, especially with NBA DFS value plays that come from them. Make sure to check out today's NBA DFS projections and NBA DFS ownership projections before finalizing your lineups today. We have some very great game environments tonight with the Golden State Warriors visiting the Sacramento Kings with a 240 over/under while the Los Angeles Clippers take on the Utah Jazz in a total that's crept into the 230's.

Favorite Starters to Use for DFS Lineups

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets & Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

I’m having a difficult time to pick one or the other, so I won’t and list both. Both guys started their campaigns off with triple-doubles and both guys are direct funnels for their teams offense and success. The Dallas game has a better environment, more points projected and all of that, but Jokic doesn’t care about your game environment. He really doesn’t care about the game, just his family and horses. And yet, he’s the best player in the world. Play either and be happy with that decision.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

The price is HIGHLY intriguing. The game environment is HIGHLY intriguing. Something screams Steph at his best here. Especially after bringing De’Aaron Fox as the first active player in the NBA to the Curry brand. Fun little narrative. ANYWAYS, without Draymond Green and Jordan Poole last year, Curry had a 36% USG and averaged 1.45 FP/min. His price on DK is downright disrespectful.

Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers

PG13 is one of those dudes that quite literally fills up every aspect of the box score on a nightly basis. He wasn’t even extended past 32 minutes because the Clippers had a VERY cozy lead heading into the 4th Q and despite that, he put up 45 DKP. Utah was a top-10 team in pace and bottom-10 in defensive rating last year. They opened the season basically playing fast and no defense again. Advantage George.

Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons

One of the biggest y’all must’ve forget games during the first week of the season was Cade Cunningham’s opener against a good Heat defense. He scored 30 actual, fell one assist shy of a double-double, and took 27 (!!) shots. Charlotte’s going to rank near the bottom of the league defensively and they got out and ran in game one ranking ninth in pace. With Jaden Ivey coming off the bench and Bojan Bogdanovic hurt, Cunningham is option 1a, 1b, and 1c.

Julius Randle, New York Knicks

Atlanta’s defense was lit up like a Christmas tree in the first game of the year…TO CHARLOTTE. Randle gave us the full experience in game one. He played 34 minutes and took 22 shots, both are great. He made just five of them (not great, Bob) but was just three assists shy of a triple-double. If he’s going to continue to be that aggressive offensively while ALSO getting teammates involved, Randle’s sitting a fantastic price, one that likely hovers around $9K when he’s going well.

Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets

It was an abysmal opening game for Houston who was blown out by Orlando, but Sengun showed us flashes as to why we love him in fantasy and DFS. In 28 minutes he went 14/8/6 and didn’t have any steals and blocks despite averaging one of each last year. On last night’s NBA DFS podcast, Jon Impemba pointed out how well Sengun played without Kevin Porter Jr. last year. In 22 games without him, Sengun averaged 15.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. Those are sustainable, as we saw in Game 1, and let’s not overlook the fact that he didn’t play the final eight minutes of the game. If he played five of the eight things could have looked even BETTER for him. This game against the Spurs should look a lot different as the Spurs played at the second-fastest pace in the league and also were bottom-five in defense.

Honorable mention(s):

Favorite Value Plays to Use for DFS Lineups

Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors

I think Kuminga’s value is extremely high when you consider the Warriors rotation and who’s in/out. He played just 20 minutes, but he was the first Dubs player off the bench and checked in literally five minutes into the game. He then proceeded to pick up THREE fouls in 5:20. He had a MONSTER second half and was one of the Warriors best players and kept them in the game. Kuminga had a 23% USG and averaged 1.29 FP/min in game one, and that could be something we continue to see especially with Draymond Green sidelined. Especially in a game with a 240 O/U.

Isaiah Stewart, Detroit Pistons

Stewart has multiple position eligibility, is starting at power-forward, and is playing a boatload of minutes. At least that was true during the first game of the year in which Stewart played 34 minutes and had a 14-14 double-double. Charlotte was one of the worst rebounding teams in the league last year, ranking 24th, which can bode really well for Stewart in this spot, who’s averaged north of eight boards in two straight seasons. I’m also good with Ausar Thompson at similar price points.

Keegan Murray, Sacramento Kings

I really like the price on Keegan Murray here considering the game environment we have with the Warriors. Murray opened up the season looking sharp falling just two rebounds shy of a double-double. Murray is a sniper and after shooting 41% from three last year, he shot 44% on the opener and in this high-paced, high scoring atmosphere, he has a chance to make a bunch of threes in this spot. If he can contribute everywhere else like he did in the opener, Murray’s a fantastic spot and price.

Coby White, Chicago Bulls

There weren’t many bright spots for the Bulls on opening night but White does check many boxes. The minutes (31) and shot attempts (14) were fantastic and if you didn’t see the Bulls starting lineup, White was the starting PG. White is a very solid offensive player and the 15 points despite shooting 28% from the floor. For a guy who shot 44% over the last two seasons, 37%+ from three, there is only room for improvement which makes playing him pretty exciting. With Bulls’ wings like DeMar Derozan and Zach LaVine in REALLY tough spots with who are defending them, they could rely on White a bit more here.

Day'Ron Sharpe, Brooklyn Nets

I’m not fully sold on Sharpe being extended, but he definitely has first crack at the center position. He played 12 minutes off the bench behind Nic Claxton, who’s out, and Watford and Giles didn’t play at all. Not to mention the Nets have said they’re not putting Ben Simmons at center this year. Sharpe played 544 minutes last year and averaged 1.12 FP/min. Elite fantasy producer and if he draws the start, he’s per dollar the best value of the slate.
