Left WRRight CBAnalysis
Christian Kirk ARIRichard Sherman SFThe stat lines for the last two weeks show how dependent on matchup Kirk's production can be. In Week 9 against this strong 49ers defense he had just two catches for seven yards. Last week against Tampa Bay's trash defense he had over 130 yards and three touchdowns. Well, this week it is back to another tough one with the Niners and Richard Sherman playing like he did five years ago. Kirk could be an option at a flex position in a season long league, but that even might be pushing it.
Julio Jones ATLJames Bradberry CARIt wasn't until Marshon Lattimore left the game that Julio did much of anything, but in the end his 79 yards weren't half bad. It was his lowest catch total since Week 5, but with the tough matchup it wasn't unexpected. The Panthers secondary is fairly strong, although Bradberry hasn't played in the last game and a half due to injury. Any cornerback at less than 100 percent is going to be something that Jones will want to feast on. However, the Falcons struggle always come into play so he might not be worthy of one of the top few salaries on the DFS boards, but as always is a must-play in season long leagues.
Marquise Brown BALJonathan Joseph HOUAs predicted it was a big fantasy day for Brown with 80 yards and a touchdown against a Bengals defense that can be blown away by a calm breeze. The Ravens ran the ball plenty, and Brown still had a solid game. This one should call for much more passing in a game with an opponent who can also put up points, and has a terrible pass defense. Brown looks to be a very good play in DFS formats this week, as well as a rock solid WR2 against the Texans secondary that has allowed an average of two touchdown passes a game this season.
John Brown BUFNik Needham MIABrown was good for his usual five catches and 75 yards in Week 10 against the Browns, and has hit those marks in four of the last five games. His inability to find the end zone, which is mostly due to a poor offense, is the only thing holding him back from being a true fantasy star. He went for 83 yards and a touchdown the first time the Bills played Miami, and that should be the least you should expect from him. Look for Brown to find that paydirt again, and threaten to eclipse 100 yards.
D.J. Moore CARIsaiah Oliver ATLMoore has back to back 100 yard games and has been targeted at least eight times in the last five consecutive games. He is really finding his groove, even without Cam Newton. The Falcons might have kept Drew Brees held down last week, but their defense is awful and they still gave up a big game to the Saints top receiver Michael Thomas. Moore has a real great chance of topping that 100 yard mark for a third straight game, and it seems a given that he will get in the end zone against such a weak opponent.
Allen Robinson CHIJalen Ramsey LARThe only bright spot to the Bears woeful 2019 on offense has been Robinson. Despite utterly dreadful play at quarterback all season long, he has just two games under five catches and two games of less than 50 yards receiving all season long. He has even had success against tough defenses like Dallas, Green Bay, Minnesota, and New Orleans. He will face off with one of the best in the business in Jalen Ramsey, and it will be one of his tallest tasks of the season. There is no way that you can sit Robinson in season long leagues, but considering how erratic Mitchell Trubisky has been playing it would be tough for me to put Robinson in a DFS lineup with Jalen Ramsey covering him all day.
Auden Tate CINTrayvon Mullen OAKWhile A.J.Green is not coming back any time soon, Tate is going watch his fantasy value evaporate with this change in quarterback. The Raiders defense, which has been awful all season long, has all of a sudden started to come together a little bit. No one is going to mistake them for the Niners or Patriots, but they seem to be a little less invisible the past couple of weeks. Tate is a big bodied target, but the Bengals offense is going nowhere fast and you can no longer trust him going forward.
Odell Beckham Jr CLEJoe Haden PITBeckham has broken out of his doldrums to an extent, but he still hasn't been the elite, explosive receiver we expected to see this season. He has five catches in each of the last three games, but still hasn't scored since Week 2. The Steelers pass defense has been improving over the past few weeks since the acquisition of Minkah Fitzpatrick, and you have to think that they are going to give Baker Mayfield fits. Beckham is better than he has played, but the quarterback has been his undoing. The target numbers are still solid, but many times he doesn't even have a chance. Beckham should be able to muster five catches and 75 yards, but nothing spectacular.
Amari Cooper DALDarius Slay DETCooper missed practice on Wednesday, but he has been doing that most of the year as he has been nursing various injuries all season long. It hasn't hampered him most of the time though, as he has been on absolute fire lately with 333 yards and two touchdowns in the last three weeks. Slay is one of the better corners in the league, but he hasn't looked like his usual self this season, and has been dealing with various injuries himself. The Cowboys should throw the ball plenty in this one until they build up a solid lead and Cooper could easily have eight catches on 12 targets for another 90-100 yards in this one.
Courtland Sutton DENXavier Rhodes MINHe is now dealing with less than ideal play at quarterback, but Sutton has continued to put up solid stats. He had five catches for 56 yards and a score before their bye against Denzel Ward and the Browns. He will get another solid defense, with another All-Pro corner who hasn't quite been living up to his hype with Rhodes and the Vikings. Amari Cooper just torched Rhodes last week for over 100 yards, and while Sutton isn't likely to reach that plateau, six catches and 75 yards or more is definitely on the table.
Marvin Jones DETByron Jones DALThe Lions lack of ability to run the ball has boosted the fantasy stock of their two lead wide receivers, and then that stock was immediately crushed back down with the injury to Matthew Stafford. Jones was still solid last week with Jeff Driskel at quarterback with five catches for 77 yards, and remains a solid redraft play on a weekly basis since the Lions are forced to throw so much. He won't be a DFS target against the solid Cowboys defense, and the uncertainty if Driskel can remain decent. Jones will be a huge player to watch this week to determine his value going forward.
DeAndre Hopkins HOUMarcus Peters BALHopkins is matchup proof, and even though he only had 48 receiving yards in London he still had eight catches and a touchdown. He now has had eight catches or more in four straight weeks and has really hit his stride. Marcus Peters and the Ravens secondary has been improving greatly, but there will be a ton of passing in this one on the Texans side, and Hopkins is a guarantee to be the most targeted guy. He should clear 100 yards and a score and will be a great target in any fantasy format this week.
Zach Pascal INDA.J. Bouye JAXPascal looked like a fantasy darling last week with most other Colt pass catchers injured, but that's what we get when we trust Brian Hoyer, nothing but disappointment. Pascal was responsible for more than a couple pies last week with his two catches for 26 yards. He will be due for a bounceback this week as Jacoby Brissett will be back under center, and Indy's receivers are still incredibly banged up. A.J. Bouye is a quality corner, but he hasn't been the same guy since Jalen Ramsey left town. Pascal shouldn't be a pie bet choice, but he should be good for five catches and 60 yards in this one.
D.J. Chark JAXKenny Moore II INDOutside of a game against the Jets (and who doesn't torch the Jets?), Chark has really been fading in the past month. This will be a very interesting week as Nick Foles is back for the Jaguars, and he will go against a very solid secondary in Indianapolis. Chark was never supposed to be a savior as a wide receiver, so it remains to be seen if the early season success was just a fluke between him and Gardner Minshew. I think the talent is still there and he can finish the season strong, but this isn't looking like the best week to take a chance on him. Personally, he could sit in my flex spot in redraft, but he won't be anywhere near a DFS lineup.
Tyreek Hill KCCasey Hayward LACCasey Hayward is one of the best corners in the league, and he has played like it for most of the season. However, the combination of Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill are nearly unstoppable. Mahomes is targeting Hill all over the field, and while you might be able to slow him down in small doses, eventually he is going to get you. He has scored in every healthy game but one, and has only had under 75 receiving yards once, and he had 74 yards in that game. If anyone can keep him under 50 receiving yards this season it will be Hayward, but the Chargers as a whole are on a downswing, and I see Hill topping 100 receiving yards for the third straight game.
Robert Woods LARKyle Fuller CHISomehow the guy who had 13 targets the last three weeks combined was looked to 11 times in the game against the Steelers, while Cooper Kupp had four targets. Can anyone explain? It was nice to see Woods have a great game, but figuring out who the Rams are going to throw to these days is getting harder than solving a Rubik's Cube. Woods has a really tough matchup against the Bears, although Jared Goff is usually better at home. He has been so inconsistent this season he is very hard to trust from a DFS perspective but is still worth a WR3 spot in season long leagues.
Mike Williams LACBashaud Breeland KCYou would have thought coming off his first career 100 yard game and a matchup against the lowly Raiders that Williams would have done better than two catches for 55 yards. However, that was his stat line last Thursday. The Chargers pass game is really struggling right now, and the whole team seems to have lost its identity. He gets another shot with a plus matchup against a less than stellar Chiefs defense, but right now Williams is a shell of what we thought he would be back in August and is nothing better than a flex option even in a game where the Chargers need to throw a lot.
DeVante Parker MIATre'Davious White BUFThe DeVante Parker playing decent tour continued last week with another five catches for 69 yards in a game against the Colts where there wasn't much offense. Right now, the Dolphins are playing their best football of the season. This game against the Bills certainly looks like one where you should fade Parker, but it is in Miami and AFC East opponents always play close games at home, and he did have five catches and a touchdown against the Bills the first time around. Parker might not be an overly attractive DFS play, but you could use him as a dart throw in tournaments, and even against the Bills he belongs in your season long lineups.
Stefon Diggs MINChris Harris DENWith their bye coming in Week 12, it certainly seems like the Vikings will be without Adam Thielen for one more game. And while being without Thielen helped Stefon Diggs earlier in the year, he has badly struggled without him the past two games. This certainly doesn't look like a solid Diggs game with shutdown corner Chris Harris sure to blanket him all game long. Diggs is a very talented receiver, but outside of the game against the Bears (who even had a bad stretch of defense) all of his solid games have come against lower ranked defenses. I don't think Diggs will be able to shake Harris for much. I am still using him in my season long leagues but he surely won't bring you a good return on his DFS salary.
Mohamed Sanu NERonald Darby PHII am loving this matchup for sure! Sanu just had an extra week to get himself more acclimated to the Patriots offense, and they already showed a commitment to him with his 14 targets before their bye in Week 9. The Patriots sure didn't trade a second round pick for a guy they weren't planning on using, and he gets a great matchup against a very weak Eagles secondary. He is a fantastic option in DFS leagues and is still being underpriced, and is a smash play in season long leagues.
Michael Thomas NOSean Murphy-Bunting TBIt took Thomas a while to put up his solid stat line against the Falcons last week, and it proved even when the offense wasn't clicking on all cylinders, Thomas would still get his. This couldn't be a better matchup as he faces the secondary that gives up the most passing yards per game and has allowed a whopping 22 passing touchdowns in just nine games. Thomas should be the top option in the #FFPieBet draft on Friday, a dynamite DFS play even if he is the highest salary, and he will win people their matchups in season long leagues.
Robby Anderson NYJQuinton Dunbar WASAnderson is dealing with a variety of minor injuries, and even last week when the Jets scored 30 points he had just one catch on three targets. He has always been an all or nothing type player, and lately he has been a lot of nothing. The Redskins are going nowhere fast, but Dunbar has been one of the best surprises at corner back this season. There isn't a scenario that I can think of where Anderson is a solid fantasy play this week.
Tyrell Williams OAKWilliam Jackson III CINAfter five straight games with a touchdown to start the season, it has been two scoreless ones for Williams. He has faced two quality corners in Darius Slay and Casey Hayward the last two weeks, but the touchdown streak also had to end eventually. Cincinnati's pass defense isn't actually as bad as you'd think considering they haven't won a game, but Williams still should feast in this one. He won't go over 100 yards, but six catches for 75 yards and starting a new touchdown streak is a viable expectation.
Alshon Jeffery PHIStephon Gilmore NEThe Eagles are coming off their bye, but so are the Patriots and this is not looking like it will be a strong Jeffery game. The guy needed DeSean Jackson back, and with him now lost for the season, Jeffery is the lone viable wide receiver for the Eagles. This should be no problem for Bill Belicheck and the stingy Patriots defense to take out of the game. Carson Wentz is a strong quarterback, but he can be neutralized as well by a good defense. Jeffery could have three or maybe four catches, but he won't score and will be lucky to break 50 receiving yards.
James Washington PITGreedy Williams CLEOnce an afterthought, Washington all of a sudden has been becoming a bigger part of the Steelers passing game each week. He has led the wide receivers in targets, catches, and yards the past two games, and that includes Juju Smith-Schuster. He has ten catches and 159 yards the past two games with a touchdown and gets a Thursday night primetime matchup with the Browns. Cleveland's defense has been fairly good against the pass, but Washington will still check in as a WR3 option in Week 11 with his expanded role of late.
Deebo Samuel SFPatrick Peterson ARIWith Emmanuel Sanders to be a game-time decision with a rib injury, Samuel was the main target in Monday night's game against the Seahawks. He does need to work on his hands a little, but he certainly has shown flashes of what he is capable of this year. With Sanders iffy, Kittle already ruled out, and a paper soft defense in Arizona across the field, this is a solid week to consider using Deebo in both redraft and as a bargain option in DFS leagues. While he only had 40 yards against the Cardinals two weeks ago, Sanders and Kittle both had big games, and without them Samuel will be the go-to guy.
Mike Evans TBP.J. Williams NOThis one looked like it was going to be a heavyweight matchup between Evans and Saints corner Marshon Lattimore. With Lattimore unable to go this week, Evans faces a compromised secondary with New Orleans. He didn't go off against the Cardinals, but Evans still had over 80 receiving yards for the sixth time in seven games. Without Lattimore, Evans is a must-start in season long leagues. He is a bit of a risky bet with a high salary in DFS games, but you can still work him into a few lineups.
Terry McLaurin WASArthur Maulet NYJThe talent is there…well for McLaurin it is, but the talent is certainly lacking at the quarterback position in Washington. Haskins might have a bright future but it isn't coming in 2019 and McLaurin has had exactly four catches for 39 yards in each of the last two games. Granted it was against two good defenses and the Jets are awful, but with Haskins at quarterback McLaurin has become unplayable. You can use him as a risky flex play if you want and hope he finds the end zone, but don't blame me when I say I told you so.
Right WRLeft CBAnalysis
KeeSean Johnson ARIEmmanuel Moseley SFJohnson looked to get a bit of momentum with his first career touchdown against the 49ers two weeks ago, but then was held catch-less against the Buccaneers in Week 10. He was only targeted four times, so while he is talented, it isn't coming through in production on Sunday which is what matters. He will not be having a good game against the 49ers.
Calvin Ridley ATLRoss Cockrell CARHe hasn't had more than four catches since Week 5, and only has one game of over 50 receiving yards in that span. He does have four touchdowns in nine games, but so much more was expected of him this season. Carolina's secondary is a little beat up right now, and the Falcons are comign off what they hope is a momentum building game against the Saints. The loss of Austin Hooper certainly opens up more targets for Ridley, and there is a chance he is in for a fairly solid game. He is still a risky play in DFS formats, but in season long leagues he looks to be a WR3.
Miles Boykin BALGareon Conley HOUBoykin has nine catches on the year and he wasn't even targeted last week against the Bengals when the team scored a ton of points. The Texans defense is bad, but are you seriously considering this guy? The answer is no.
Isaiah McKenzie BUFRyan Lewis MIABuffalo's pass offense is one of the worst of a team with a winning record, and outside of John Brown and Devin Singletary, no one catches enough passes to be on the fantasy radar. McKenzie is usually good for two or three catches a game, but even in the deepest formats that isn't valuable. They have an A-plus matchup against Miami, but you still have to look in another direction.
Curtis Samuel CARBlidi Wreh-Wilson ATLThe numbers look good with touchdowns in three of the last four games, but if you look closer, Samuel is no slam dunk. He would have been better off with Cam Newton at quarterback, but that isn't happening this season. He has just two games with more than four catches and they both came early on. Without the recent run of touchdowns, Samuel would be borderline droppable. He will continue to hold some value this week because the Falcon secondary is so bad, but all in all his value is a WR3 at best.
Taylor Gabriel CHITroy Hill LARPerhaps for the first time in his career, Gabriel has actually strung together three straight decent fantasy games. Granted they weren't against strong defenses, and in all honesty they were WR3-type games at best. Mitch Trubisky is a trainwreck at quarterback, and counting on any of his receivers outside of Allen Robinson seems like a horrible idea right now. The Rams defense has been back to a dominant unit of late and should keep Gabriel completely in check on Sunday.
Alex Erickson CINDaryl Worley OAKHe had two solid games before the bye, but with the change in quarterback Erickson didn't even have a catch last week. He is dealing with a back injury as well, and even against perhaps the worst secondary in the league, there is no format that you can start Erickson.
Rashard Higgins CLESteven Nelson PITAt the beginning of the year there was some hope that the Browns offense might be good enough to create enough yards for three receivers to be fantasy worthy and Higgins might be that guy. Baker Mayfield has played like trash, Higgins has been in and out with injury, and the Browns have been colossal disappointments. Especially with a matchup against a fairly strong Steelers secondary Higgins isn't worth anything in fantasy in Week 11.
Michael Gallup DALRashaan Melvin DETGallup has scored in consecutive weeks, and looks to be getting back on track with how he started the season. He is a very talented receiver, and has the skills to be a number one receiver in this league some day. The Lions secondary is one of the five worst in the league, and after Darius Slay there isn't a lot there to scare offensive coordinators. Gallup is a must-start in redraft leagues, and a solid bargain target in DFS games this week.
Diontae Spencer DENMike Hughes MINThe undrafted rookie has been forced into more duties with some injuries to the Bronco receiving corps, but even if John Elway in his 1980s form was at quarterback Spencer wouldn't be worth consideration on Sunday. The Vikings have a strong secondary and will give Brandon Allen tons of trouble. Spencer isn't even worth a second look.
Kenny Golladay DETChidobe Awuzie DALGolladay scored for the third consecutive week last Sunday, even with a backup quarterback under center. His catch rate is awful with just 38 catches on 72 targets. The Lions will be without Matthew Stafford again, and they will face another strong secondary in the Cowboys. Golladay still lead the team in targets so he isn't likely to have less than five catches, but scoring again with Jeff Driskel might be too tall of an order.
Will Fuller HOUJimmy Smith BALFuller is back from his injury, playing for the first time in Week 7. Fuller is incredibly inconsistent and the definition of boom or bust. He certainly is a huge risk as he hasn’t played in a month, as well as the Ravens defense has been improving in recent weeks. Jimmy Smith is a very solid cornerback, and while he only needs a couple of plays to make it a solid fantasy day, Fuller is not worth the possible reward.
Marcus Johnson INDTre Herndon JAXThe Colts offense is full of injuries, and right now there aren't many viable options to throw to. Johnson is not one of them although he will be on the field in three receivers sets. The Colts could be playing Tampa Bay and Johnson still wouldn’t have fantasy value.
Chris Conley JAXRock Ya-Sin INDAfter two straight good games, Conley came crashing back to life in Week 9 in London with just 32 receiving yards on two catches. While he still had seven targets, which is great, the production wasn't there. Nick Foles is back under center which helps the offense, but Dede Westbrook also will be back this week. Conley has had little to no fantasy value this season with Westbrook on the field, and that puts Conley back on the outside looking in.
Demarcus Robinson KCMichael Davis LACRobinson got a bit of a bump back with Patrick Mahomes back under center, but there are still so many mouths to feed that it is hard to trust anyone besides Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Robinson needs to get more than five targets to be fantasy relevant, and he hasn't had that since Week 5 and I'm not sure I see that happening any time soon. Barring an injury to any Chief receiver, Robinson is best on your bench or on the waiver wire.
Josh Reynolds LARPrince Amukamara CHIReynolds continues to work as the third receiver with Brandin Cooks out with a concussion. While that was a productive role two weeks ago, Reynolds was a bit of a disappointment in Week 10. Of course, this isn't really his fault, when Jared Goff was incredibly erratic. Reynolds value will again be tied to Goff's ability to play the position effectively. If you have faith in Goff, Reynolds can be a flex play. I have long been a fan of Goff, but his recent play has shaken my confidence in him. I would feel better with Reynolds on my bench this week.
Andre Patton LACCharvarius Ward KCPatton didn't have a single catch on four targets against one of the worst defenses in football in the Raiders. The Chargers passing game is atrocious right now, no sense wasting time on this guy.
Allen Hurns MIALevi Wallace BUFThe Dolphins may have won two straight games, but it wasn't by any sort of explosive offense. Hurns had a season-high four targets last week. No, that wasn't a joke or the punch line. That is the reality of his season. He has one touchdown, and he only topped 40 receiving yards once this season. Let's make better use of your fantasy football reasearch and keep going.
Laquon Treadwell MINDavontae Harris DENNo! Just no! The Vikings are without Adam Thielen, but even with that being the case in recent weeks, Treadwell wasn't anything to get excited about. His career high in yardage for a season is 300 and he has one career touchdown, does this sound like a guy you should be reading about? Moving on.......
Phillip Dorsett NEJalen Mills PHIHe has been dealing with some injury problems on and off this season, but Dorsett just isn't a major part of the offensive plan. The acquisition of Mohamed Sanu pushed him down a peg, and when rookie N'Keal Harry is ready Dorsett will have very minimal value. He catches a random touchdown here and there, but after a strong start to the season, he has seriously disappeared. Even against a weak Philly defense, you can do better.
Ted Ginn NOM.J. Stewart TBEven with Drew Brees back, Ginn has been a complete bust this season, and failed to even have a catch last week against the Falcons of all teams. Sure, this is another easy matchup, but he shouldn't even be on rosters anymore. Tre'Quan Smith is a younger, faster version of Ginn and will likely be passing him by in the coming weeks.
Demaryius Thomas NYJJosh Norman WASThomas has gained a little value with Sam Darnold back under center, but his value continues to be very inconsistent. He had a nice game last week against the Giants, but their offense is just awful. Not that the Redskins are great, but their two corners are both pretty solid. Thomas is an emergency option in PPR leagues, but it has to be like a three alarm fire emergency, not like oh no my wifi is out kind of emergency #firstworldproblems
Zay Jones OAKB.W. Webb CINJones doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of being fantasy relevant on any given week, even against the lowly Bengals. He has 13 receptions all season long, which is almost comical. The former second round pick continues to be a colossal bust in the NFL.
Mack Hollins PHIJason McCourty NEDeSean Jackson's injury likely puts Hollins back in the lineup with three wide receivers, but there isn't a wide receiver on this roster worth a damn except Alshon Jeffery. Hollins will also get fewer targets than Miles Sanders, Nelson Agholor, and Zach Ertz so even if they weren't playing one of the best defenses in the league you still shouldn't use Hollins.
Diontae Johnson PITT.J. Carrie CLEAfter looking like he was the clear cut number two behind Smith-Schuster, Johnson has been wildly inconsistent of late. In the last five games he has three contests under 30 receiving yards, and two over 60. He appears to have fallen behind James Washington on the target pecking order and is a very hard guy to trust with the Steelers passing game being fairly limited. It isn't a bad matchup, but Johnson is unlikely to have more than four catches or 50 yards in this one.
Kendrick Bourne SFByron Murphy ARIWith Dante Pettis continually being taken to task by Head Coach Kyle Shanahan, it is Bourne who is getting the looks after Emmanuel Sanders. Now, if Bourne could actually catch the ball, he could have a real role. However, he had more than one pass go right off his hands on Monday, and he has had problems with drops this season. The 49ers will likely throw a good deal against the subpar Cardinals defense, and he has scored in two straight weeks, but it would have to be pretty dire circumstances or a very deep league to want Bourne even on your roster.
Breshad Perriman TBEli Apple NOEven against a horrible defense like the Cardinals, Perriman didn’t see anything that resembled a fantasy relevant role. This team can throw to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Ronald Jones, and when the planets align, O.J. Howard. There is no scenario where Perriman comes into play for fantasy football.
Paul Richardson WASNate Hairston NYJYou never know with a quarterback change how that might shake out with the new quarterback's favorite receivers. But no need to worry about that here. Case Keenum didn't favor Ricahrdson, and neither does Dwayne Haskins. In Richardson's defense, Haskins can barely complete a pass to anyone, so it isn't totally his fault. However, Richardson remains irrelevant for fantasy purposes.

Now, here are my 10 favorite matchups in the slot in Week 11.

Slot WRSlot CBAnalysis
Julian Edelman NEAvonte Maddox PHIFew players have been targeted as much lately as Julian Edelman, and with a bye week to rest those injured ribs can only help him. Tom Brady has been a surgeon for most of the season, and he should totally pick apart the Eagles secondary. Edelman will have a minimum of eight catches, a minimum of 80 yards, and likely a touchdown. He will be a popular choice in the #FFPieBet if he isn't chosen by one of the hosts.
Chris Godwin TBChauncey Gardner-Johnson NOThe Godwin bonanza has been slowed a little bit in recent weeks with less than 75 yards in three straight games. He still has been far from bad though with 13 catches in the last two weeks. He looks to get back on track against a Saints secondary that is likely to be down their best corner, and that Godwin torched for 125 yards and two touchdowns against in Week 5. Despite his struggles, he gets a great matchup here and will likely be someone people use as a quality pick for the #FFPieBet this week.
Cooper Kupp LARBuster Skrine CHIThe Steelers defense is fairly decent, but how do we live after a game where Cooper Kupp had no catches on just four targets???? I know my life included more pie after that performance as he cost me some pastry to the grill. Even against one of the best defenses in San Francisco, Kupp still had four catches! Ugh! Well, while the Bears defense is playing better, Kupp should get back on track as Jared Goff can't play worse than he did last week. Buster Skrine is not a quality corner, and we have to put last week behind us and remember that Cooper Kupp is a dynamic receiver and could easily go back over 100 yards and score in this one.
Jamison Crowder NYJFabian Moreau WASThe Jets offense has nearly become a joke, but there has been one constant and that is Crowder. He is coming off back to back games with over 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, and although Washington's secondary isn't that bad, he won't face much of either of their two good corners coming out of the slot. Crowder has become Sam Darnold's go-to receiver whenever he needs a big catch, and right now Crowder is an easy play in all redraft formats.
Jarvis Landry CLEMike Hilton PITThrough all of the drama and the headlines with the Browns this season, Landry has just come in and done his job, and for most of the season done it well. He really has had a bump in targets lately, with 33 in the last three games. He has also scored in back to back weeks, coming against quality defenses in Denver and Buffalo. He is certainly helped by Odell Beckham drawing the most attention from the defense, and in PPR formats, Landry is becoming more valuable by the week. Thursday night games are often sloppy and the Steelers pass defense has been improving, but you can still use Landry in your WR3 spot this week and feel very comfortable about it.
Randall Cobb DALJustin Coleman DETSpeaking of an uptick in usage, all of a sudden Cobb has 12 catches on 16 targets in the last two weeks. He even went over 100 yards and scored against a strong Vikings defense. It is hard to say what has brought about this sudden boost for Cobb, but let's ride it while it is hot. The Lions are going nowhere fast, and just gave up three touchdowns to Mitchell Trubisky for Heaven's sake! Imagine what Dak Prescott can do. It isn't a strong enough matchup to use Cobb in DFS games, but he is a guy to continue to start until the bottom falls out of this hot streak, which likely comes next week against New England.
Keenan Allen LACRashad Fenton KCThe eight catches from last week were nice, but this was supposed to be his slump buster against the Raiders and he still failed to top 70 receiving yards or find the end zone. I am beyond frustrated with Allen. Perhaps some good Mexican tequila will get him back on track as the Chargers go south of the border to face the Chiefs Monday night. Despite not topping 70 receiving yards or those eight catches since Week 3 you just have to keep throwing him in your season long lineups and head for the bar afterwards.
Tyler Boyd CINLamarcus Joyner OAKBoyd continues to be less than we expected, but it was nice to see that he continued to lead the team in targets even with a new quarterback. The problem is the quarterback isn't very good, and the Bengals offense doesn't really have a lot of other weapons to take the defense's attention away from Boyd. He still has had six catches and over 60 yards in each of the last two weeks, and hopefully a matchup with the soft Raiders secondary will help Boyd get a very respectable game.
Juju Smith-Schuster PITDenzel Ward CLEMason Rudolph just isn't capable of getting him the ball deep down the field, and we also can't argue that he is missing when Antonio Brown would steal plenty of defensive attention away from him. This has been an incredibly frustrating season to own Smith-Schuster. Not only is he not getting the scores, he isn't really even getting the targets. He has five or less in three of the last five games, and three catches or less. This isn't how you treat your star receiver. He won't have an easy time with Denzel Ward this week, but still is deserving of a WR3/flex spot because of his talent.
Dede Westbrook JAXMarvell Tell INDWestbrook is a bit of a risk in his first game back, with a returning quarterback, and against a decent defense. But with D.J. Chark fading a little, this is a perfect time for Westbrook to come back and assert himself as the Jaguars top receiving option again. I have long been a fan of him, and feel comfortable using him in my redraft lineups this weekend. He isn't going to have ten catches and 150 yards by any stretch, but five or six catches for 65 yards is worth at least a flex spot with four teams on bye.

Elite

Michael Thomas vs. Sean Murphy-Bunting

He is by FAR the most expensive receiver on both main sites this week, and the gap between him and DeAndre Hopkins , who is the second highest priced receiver, is massive. In fact, it is an $1,800 difference. That’s ok. He will be worth it! Stop me when you have heard enough that makes you ready to pay up for Thomas. He has been targeted at least 11 times in seven of his team’s nine games. He has double digit catches in five of his team’s nine games and nine catches in two others. He has five 100 yard receiving games, including three straight. He absolutely torched the Buccaneers for 11 catches, 182 yards and two touchdowns against Tampa earlier in the year. He is coming off a game where his team’s offense was completely out of sync and he STILL had 13 catches for 152 yards. I’m exhausted for all of this praise I am heaping on Thomas. He is the best receiver on the slate, and is worth the top salary. Pay up and you won’t be disappointed.

Affordable

D.J. Moore vs. Isaiah Oliver

These last three guys in the Affordable and Bargain Bin sections are all priced fairly similarly on FanDuel, but there is a bit of a separation on DraftKings. There weren’t any receivers I felt strongly about in the $6,000-$7,000 range, so maybe these choices will help you spend up for some studs at other places. Outside of a two week stretch early in the season and a game against San Francisco, Moore has been consistently productive even with Kyle Allen at quarterback. He has been targeted at least eight times in five straight games, and has had at least five catches over that span. This is their first chance to play the Falcons, who despite last week, have been one of the worst pass defenses in the game. Moore continues to be the go-to guy for the Panthers and will look to have his third straight 100 yard game against Atlanta. I feel like he is vastly underpriced at $5,900 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel.

John Brown vs. Nik Needham

It has been three straight weeks since Brown scored, but can you guess the team he last found the end zone against? Ding, ding, ding, you’ve got it! Miami! The Dolphins have been playing inspired football the past two weeks, but it was against the stinky Jets and the Brian Hoyer -led Colts. Not that Josh Allen is Joe Montana, but he has proven to be able to function in an offense. Brown’s targets have been going up in recent weeks, and he consistently is good for five catches and 75 yards. Expect Brown to get back in the touchdown column with another six catches for 85 yards as well as he outperforms his price point.

Bargain Bin

Mohamed Sanu vs. Ronald Darby

The guy had 14 targets in just his second game with the team, and is clearly going to be second in line for looks from Tom Brady . Sanu has great hands, but has never been a featured part of an offense. He isn’t going to take over the top spot from Julian Edelman for sure, but he is just $5,100 on DraftKings and $5,800 on FanDuel. The Eagles secondary has been leaky all season long, and Tom Brady has had two weeks to stew over a loss to the Ravens and to get ready for this game. The Patriots gave up what I thought was too much for him with a second round pick, but they will be motivated to prove that it wasn’t mistake. Sanu is at a great price point with a plus matchup and should bring you a great return on investment.
