Coors Field

Colorado Rockies vs Cincinnati Reds

Yup, we are back in Coors this weekend which gives a big boost to the Reds and Rockies hitters.  Colorado is sending Jon Gray and his 6.04 home ERA to the mound while the Reds send right-handed Sal Romano and his 5.62 season ERA to the hill.  All the usual suspects are in play here for both teams but especially the left-handed bats of the Reds as lefties are hitting .290 with an OPS of .873 off Gray this season.  Using Joey Votto , Scooter Gennett , Jesse Winker , Scott Schebler and Tucker Barnhart should be considered.  For the Rockies Charlie Blackmon , David Dahl , Nolan Arenado , Gerardo Parra , Carlos González should all be looked at.

Washington Nationals vs Jose Urena

If not for the Coors Field game tonight the Nationals would likely be the top stack of the slate. Those looking to pivot from Coors should be looking at the Nats for that very reason.  Urena has been on of the worst pitchers over the past few seasons in terms of peripheral numbers and this season he is 0-7 with a 4.55 ERA.  He does not strike anybody out which doesn’t bode well for him against a lineup that features Bryce Harper , Trea Turner , Anthony Rendón and rookie Juan Soto .  If looking for a split advantage then look to the lefty bats in the Nationals lineup as they are hitting .282 with an OPS of .777 vs Urena this season.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Joe Musgrove

Musgrove will be making his season debut for the Pirates after he was acquired this offseason in the trade that sent Gerrit Cole to Houston.   Musgrove is coming off a shoulder injury and he didn’t pitch too well during his rehab assignment, allowing nine runs on 17 hits over 17.1 innings.  Musgrove does have a live arm but has just a 4.52 ERA over 49 career appearances (25 starts).  I am looking to target Tommy Pham , Matt Carpenter , Jose Martinez and Tyler O’Neill as part of a stack tonight.

Contrarian Stack

Cleveland Indians vs Dallas Keuchel

We have talked a lot about how Keuchel is a better home pitcher than road pitcher over the past few seasons and he now will head on the road to face an Indians team that just tagged him for four runs on six hits over five innings during his last start which was in Houston.  Keuchel has been solid this year but beatable, going 3-6 with a 3.43 ERA.  Using the likes of José Ramírez , Francisco Lindor , Edwin Encarnación , Melky Cabrera and Yan Gomes are worth looking into.

Atlanta Braves vs Eduardo Rodríguez

The Braves get the advantage of using the DH in this interleague matchup which should only bolster a lineup that is hitting a league leading .287 with an OPS of .834 against southpaws this season. ERod rarely pitches past the sixth inning which means the Braves will then get a shaky Boston bullpen to face as well.  I am not too worried about the lefty-lefty matchups here as most of Atlanta’s left-handed hitters fare well vs southpaws so go ahead and use Freddie Freeman , Nick Markakis , Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuna  and Kurt Suzuki .
