2023 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Erceg showed up in Oakland last year and promptly struck out over 11 batters per nine innings while pitching 55 innings out of the bullpen. The former infield prospect didn't record a save and was ultimately hindered by two things: 5.89 walks per nine innings and a .357 BABIP.
2024 Outlook: If Miller struggles, or is moved into a different role, Erceg could easily be in line for the few available saves that there will be in Oakland. If not, there is some WHIP risk based on the walks, but his 4.75 ERA and 3.31 FIP were solid last year.
