H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other.

Prediction/Narrative: IHC wins 2-0.

These teams are facing elimination after a rough start to the event. Both teams lost a best-of-one with a score of 2-16, though IHC lost to number nine ranked Astralis with the Danes starting CT Nuke, while Renegades lost to number 29 ranked Eternal Fire with the Turks starting CT Vertigo, so I’d argue that IHC’s lopsided loss was a lot more respectable. These teams both dominate their own regions, so their stats look equally impressive, which makes it hard to compare them, but IHC have passed the eye test for me with their solid team play. The Mongolian lineup is 15-4 across 19 maps played, and I think they live to fight another day with a win against Renegades. A sweep for IHC seems like the most likely outcome, but a 2-1 series is certainly in play as well with these teams being evenly matched in terms of the odds and the world rankings.

  • sk0R leads IHC with 24.9% opening duel attempts, a 1.39 K/D ratio, and a 1.34 Rating across 19 maps played.

ENCE (World rank: #3) vs. G2 (World rank: #6) - 12:15 P.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: ENCE (-120) | G2 (Even)

Map Handicap: ENCE -1.5 (+240) | G2 +1.5 (-305)

  • This is a best-of-three on LAN for PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Challengers Stage - Swiss Round Three (teams with a 2-0 record). Winner advances to the Legends Stage.
  • ENCE - Rating at event: Spinx 1.57 | dycha 1.41 | hades 1.32 | Snappi 1.10 | Maden 0.97
  • ENCE - Rating past three months: Spinx  1.17 | hades 1.13 | dycha 1.11 | Maden 1.02 | Snappi 0.98
  • G2 - Rating at event: NiKo 1.31 | huNter- 1.31 | m0NESY 1.09 | Aleksib 0.95 | JACKZ 0.91
  • G2 - Rating past three months: NiKo 1.20 | huNter- 1.19 | m0NESY  1.13 | JACKZ 0.95 | Aleksib .88

H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other. The teams last faced in October 2021, which was prior to G2 adding m0NESY & Aleksib, and prior to ENCE adding Maden. ENCE won 2-1 and dycha led the server with 69 kills and a 1.18 Rating.

Prediction/Narrative: G2 wins 2-1.

ENCE are the hottest team in the world right now and they have been in better form than G2 as of late, though both teams are currently on a five-match win streak. G2 have said in the past that their entire focus has been on winning Majors, and they proved it at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 with a second place finish. They had some poor performances prior to Stockholm, but they locked in once the Major started. This time around, their roster has improved, and if they can lock in again and play their best Counter-Strike, then they are absolutely a contender to win the entire tournament. G2 have a 20-11 W/L record across 31 maps played in the past three months, and I think we see an even better version of G2 with a Legends spot on the line here. ENCE have a strong map pool and recent data might suggest that they should be favored, but I have faith in the firepower of NiKo, huNter-, and m0NESY.

  • NiKo leads G2 with 26.8% opening duel attempts, a 1.23 K/D ratio, and a 1.25 Rating across 31 maps played in the past three months.

Team Liquid (World rank: #13) vs. 9z (World rank: #29) - 6:00 A.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: Team Liquid (-340) | 9z (+265)

Map Handicap: Team Liquid -1.5 (-105) | 9z +1.5 (-115)

  • 9z - Rating past three months: dgt 1.22 | Luken  1.12 | max 1.08 | dav1d 1.02 | rox 0.84

H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other.

Prediction/Narrative: Liquid wins 2-1.

Liquid are the biggest favorite on the slate, but I don’t think this series will be as one-sided as the odds seem to indicate. Liquid have been improving with their new lineup in recent months and have an 11-6 W/L record across 17 maps played in the past three months, but I still think there are some gaps in their map pool. I could see 9z winning on a map like Overpass, where they have won five of their last six, and they could also keep things competitive on a map like Mirage, where they have won four of their last five, so the map pool might set them up for potential success here. Ultimately, Liquid are the superior team and I prefer to back them as the favorites, but I wouldn’t bet on them at these odds, and I’d consider taking some of the value on 9z on Draftkings if you want to roll the dice on a capable underdog.

  • EliGE leads Liquid with 25.2% opening duel attempts and a 1.20 Rating across 43 maps played in the past three months. NAF leads with a K/D difference of +145.
