MVP/CPT

RJ Barrett, PG/SF (NYK) – Barrett simply isn’t going to slow down. He continues to prove that he wasn’t a consolation prize for the Knicks a few years ago in the lottery and a moderate game for him these days is the 20-point, five rebound, five assist effort on Friday against Phoenix. The problem with Friday’s game was efficiency for Barrett as while he did take 26 shots from the field, he only made six of them. I would expect another 20 shots from Barrett tonight, so I’m perfectly comfortable going back to him here.

Reggie Jackson, PG (LAC) – It would be nice if Jackson was going to repeat his performance from Thursday against the Lakers, but the opportunity is there. I can’t see Jackson taking 30 shots again, he made 14 of them, on his way to a 36-point effort, but that also shows where the Clippers are as a team these days. Everything was also going right for Jackson as he added nine rebounds and eight assists while bringing his averages over the last four games to 24 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.5 rebounds. Everything should run through Jackson once again tonight for the shorthanded Clippers.

Utility

Julius Randle, PF (NYK) – Despite how well he was playing on Friday, 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes, something still isn’t right for Randle. From a DFS perspective though we are just hunting stats and Randle generally gives us enough of those to finish with around 40 fantasy points at a minimum. The chance at some upside along with the highest floor of anyone on the slate does keep us interested.

Ivica Zubac, C (LAC) – Zubac missed his third straight double-double by one rebound on Thursday, but it’s hard to find fault with his performance. We have seen Zubac pick things up offensively as of late with 15.3 points in his last four games while not neglecting, and in fact stepping up, his rebounding duties with 10.8 per game.

Terance Mann, SG/SF (LAC) – Things are truly a roller coaster offensively for Mann as he went from 17 shots to five to 11 to four over his four games. The minutes don’t fluctuate nearly as much which is a good thing and Mann has been efficient from the field in his last four games shooting 51.4% while also averaging 7.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Mitchell Robinson, C (NYK) – On Friday we saw the absolute best Robinson has to offer as he scored 17 points while grabbing 15 rebounds in 37 minutes of action. One of the main takeaways here is that Robinson did stay out of foul trouble (only three) so he was able to stay on the court.

Evan Fournier, SG (NYK) – We saw the middle of the road Fournier on Friday as Fournier scored 16 points in 36 minutes of action, but that was the extent of his performance. He can easily get hot and score in bunches, and with New York banged up in the backcourt, the opportunities will continue to be there for Fournier.

Immanuel Quickley, PG/SG (NYK) – Quickley made good use of his 27 minutes of playing time on Friday as he scored 13 points while grabbing eight rebounds. It was the third straight game, and fourth in his last five, that Quickley hit double figures offensively as he continues to take on a vital role off the bench for the Knicks as they are in need of a spark.

Robert Covington, PF/C (LAC) – Covington does a good job of filling the box score off the bench in his roughly 25 minutes of action per night. In his last four games, that has been good for 28 DK points via 9.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Dart Throws

Cam Reddish, SF/PF (NYK) – It’s getting to the point that the Knicks have no choice but to give Reddish 15 to 20 minutes of playing time, and the former first round pick is talented. Since the All-Star break, Reddish is averaging 6.8 points and two rebounds per game, but at any point, he could go off.

Nicolas Batum, PF/C (LAC) – Batum does a little bit of everything in his 20 or so minutes of playing time which makes him a solid option to round out your roster, but he generally doesn’t excel in any particular category.
