Another full-slate Tuesday is on tap for today. Other than an early start in Arizona for the D-Backs and Astros, we’ll have every other team available to impress us enough to be featured in our daily “Stacks” article. The Rockies in Coors is too easy, so, we’ll say that you can’t go wrong with a Colorado hitters stack - if you can afford it. Doing so doesn’t give you much separation from the crowd, and leaves the room for error with your accompanying hitters, much smaller. So, we’ll take a look at some other options for our stacks today. They include…

LOS ANGELES DODGERS

I know, really going out on a limb here with the best team in baseball. However, tonight really shapes up well for them to put up some runs. Taking on Miguel Gonzalez, who has been inconsistent at best this season and has been brutal on the road. His 2-7 record with a 6.27 ERA and 1.70 WHIP tell enough of the story there. They are trending up as our Vegas Odds tool had them opening up at 4.84 and have since climbed to 5.04. Clear conditions and no threat of a delay also helps things here.

Top plays: C Yasmani Grandal; SS Corey Seager; 1B/OF Cody Bellinger; 3B Justin Turner

Value plays: OF Yasiel Puig; OF Joc Pederson; 2B Chris Taylor

DETROIT TIGERS

The Tigers come in at No. 2 (behind only the Rockies) in implied runs from our Vegas Odds tool at 5.97. That number is on the rise as well with a +.29 bump since opening. The Tigers get A.J. Griffin at Globe Life Ballpark in Texas. Griffin is prone to blow up starts, including allowing nine runs to this Detroit outfit on May 20th. The Rangers ballpark is ranked 5th this year in runs scored and with clear conditions and high temps, the ball should be flying out once again.

Top plays: OF Justin Upton; 2B Ian Kinsler; 1B Miguel Cabrera; 3B Nick Castellanos

Value plays: C James McCann; OF Mikie Mahtook; OF Alex Presley

TAMPA BAY RAYS

The Rays will be a lesser owned stack tonight, but one that you can really look into. Yet another example of a stack option with the opposing starter being quite up-and-down. Marco Estrada has been really solid over the last few starts, which means one thing. He’s due. Due for one of those clunkers that he’s known for. The Rays pack in some solid left-handed hitters and can string together some runs.

Top plays: 1B Logan Morrison; OF Corey Dickerson; 1B Lucas Duda; 3B Evan Longoria

Value plays: C Raffy Lopez; OF Mallex Smith

As Ben Scherr mentioned in today’s Playbook, you could also consider a game stack with the Twins and Indians. That game features Danny Salazar vs. Bartolo Colon at Target Field in Minnesota. Honestly, Colon could give up the 9.5 runs that the over/under for the entire game, himself.

Good luck tonight!
