I’m back for another fun-filled Saturday full of DFS MLB action with Playbook, Rankings, and Optimal Lineups for today’s ginormous 17 game split slate.

Even though I’m calling it a split slate, I should point out that FanDuel will be offering three big slates, which includes a four (4) game early slate that starts at 1:07 PM ET, a six (6) game “main” slate that starts at 4:05 PM ET, and a five (5) game “main II” slate that starts at 7:15 PM ET.

DraftKings will have a more traditional split slate with a ten (10) game early slate with a roster lock of 1:07 PM ET and a seven (7) game evening slate with a roster lock of 7:15 PM ET. And yes, DraftKings will have a bigger evening slate because they will be including the Doubleheader games in Detroit and Kansas City.

In order to prevent a lack of confusion, I will not include the two late Doubleheader games in today’s Rankings and Playbook, but I think both the Twins and Royals are good targets, and if the Indians/Royals 2nd game plays, I do like Carlos Carrasco as an SP option.

Weather issues have been popping up (no pun intended) over the last couple weeks, so please be sure to keep an eye on any developments before finalizing your lineups. I’d say the three games that concern me the most right now would be Indians/Tigers (Game 2), Rays/Orioles, and Phillies/Mets.

If you have any questions, you can feel free to reach me on Twitter @kle18. Good luck!
