It’s Saturday, and that means I’m back in business with today’s Fantasy Alarm DFS Rankings, Playbook, and Optimal Lineups for today’s EIGHT (8) game early slate with a roster lock of 2:10 PM ET/11:10 AM PT as well as the SEVEN (7) game late slate with a roster lock of 7:15 PM ET/4:15 PM PT.
We can’t really go through either slate without mentioning the weather. My goodness it’s brutal. The two earliest games in Minnesota (Royals/Twins) and Chicago (Brewers/Cubs) all have significant rain forecasted throughout the day. I think there’s a shot that the Cubs game will get in, but I don’t see how on Earth that the Twins game will play.
On top of that, there’s going to be modest rain in Pittsburgh (Phillies/Pirates) as well as Cincinnati (Rockies/Reds). But there’s also going to be some storms looming around Georgia that will likely affect Nationals/Braves, which is brutal because Max Scherzer is a good option today.
Shifting into the late slate, you’ll want to keep an eye on Detroit (Rangers/Tigers), which doesn’t have as bad of a forecast as St. Louis, where there’s some potential thunderstorms throughout the night (might be able to pull through though).
Please, oh please, stay on top of weather developments. There are a ton of resources available (including the Fantasy Alarm Weather Center) and I will use them all to construct the lineups you’ll see on the Optimal Lineups page.
If you have questions, please feel free to reach me on Twitter @kle18. Good luck!
