I’m going to call tonight’s slate back-to-back Friday, because a whopping 14 teams will be playing their 2nd game in as many nights. This includes the Tampa Bay Lightning (1-1-2), Buffalo Sabres (2-1-1), Montreal Canadiens (4-1-0), Columbus Blue Jackets (3-1-3), New Jersey Devils (3-1-2), Pittsburgh Penguins (2-1-3), Minnesota Wild (1-1-1), Boston Bruins (1-5-0), Carolina Hurricanes (4-1-0), Florida Panthers (3-1-1), Los Angeles Kings (3-2-0), Colorado Avalanche (2-2-0), Vancouver Canucks (3-4-0), and Toronto Maple Leafs (0-5-1). As always, I have displayed each team’s record while playing without rest in parentheses.
Nonetheless, there’s 12 games in play tonight, which is huge for a Friday, but we have an awkward slate because the NHL is going on Christmas Break for a few days.
