A full slate of games on a Friday night. What can be better than that in DFS? Tonight we have a half dozen pure stud pitchers taking the hill across MLB. You could make a case for about 10 arms tonight which you all know is an extreme rarity. The good news is that you will be able to find a great starter or two tonight. The bad news is that you are going to have to pay up for that hurler and thus find plenty of value at other positions. This is quite the task here becuase there are a bunch of great hitting options going tonight most of which you simply cannot fit on a team with Sale, Fernandez or any of the top names. This makes it absolutely CRITICAL that you check out the DFS MLB Rankings where I have the top 10 players at each position (15 for OF) broken down for you. There are a bunch of good value options in the rankings so do not set your lineup without looking those over.

There are a lot of weather concerns tonight as well which could complicate things. It will be raining in the early afternoon in Baltimore leaving the field soggy but playable. The Cubs/Pirates have a 40% chance of thunderstorms throughout their affair as do the Yankees/Indians (50%) and the Nats/Mets (also 50%). Obviously the Nats and Mets game with Syndergaard and Strasburg going toe to toe will be a big issue if the weather in New York gets any worse. As always, check out our MLB Lineups page for updates throughout the day and listen to Ted's Screen Door Weather Report at 5:30 PM ET on our SiriusXM show.

Here is the DFS MLB Playbook for Friday July 8th:
