Buddy BoeheimSYRIU890032.92850030.73
The Cuse-IU matchup is one to target on this slate and Buddy will be anchoring things for the Orange offense. He’s averaging 20 PPG, has 33+ DK points in four of six games thus far and has enough ancillary stats so that he’s not totally points-dependent. At least we know the cash floor is there as he leads Syracuse in usage rate, shots share and minutes %.
Jaden IveyPURFSU760032.32740030.31
Ivey is expected to be an NBA lottery pick and he’s proven that in Purdue’s two toughest games this season. He had back-to-back stat lines of 22/10/6 with 49 DK vs. UNC and then 10/7/7 with 31 DK vs. Villanova. It’s hard to get a read on Ivey’s usage/production in other games because they were all blowout wins where he wasn’t needed much. Against tougher competition - like tonight - Ivey has stepped up his game to an elite level. Bank on that happening again.
Alondes WilliamsWAKENW740034.93760033.03
Following an offseason transfer from Oklahoma, the senior Williams has come to Wake and been the offensive alpha more often than not. He leads the team in usage rate, shots share and assist rate while averaging 34 DK and 19.3 PPG. Maybe the DFS production slows down against tougher competition moving forward, but Williams did have 32 DK with a stuffed stat sheet vs. LSU last time out. He could be a contrarian option to the other studs tonight.
Caleb MillsFSUPUR670023.21640021.75
Mills was already one of FSU’s best players but he’s much more important right now with RayQuan Evans out again. With Evans out last game, Mills took on heavier usage while running the point and put up 34 DK with 17 points scored. While this matchup vs. Purdue is tougher, Mills should have the volume as both a scorer and distributor to return value - though he’s better suited for GPP’s with some boom-or-bust potential.
Boo BuieNWWAKE620032.46820030.18
The NW-Wake matchup may end up being the sneaky game to target on this slate and Buie could easily outperform some of the other studs in action tonight. The Wildcats’ offense largely revolves around Buie and Pete Nance playing the two-man game and both have a solid DFS floor with the heavy usage and shot volume. Buie has put up 30+ DK in all but one game thus far and has scored 22 and 23 real points in NW’s two toughest games. He’s a better play on DK with the savings.

Xavier JohnsonIUSYR510024.54680022.68
Due to the price differential, Johnson is a much better value on DK as he’s still underpriced considering his current role in the IU offense. The former Pitt transfer is running point for the Hoosiers and is coming off a massive performance last game vs. Marshall when he dropped 49 DK with 20 points scored and a stuffed stat sheet. We can’t expect a repeat tonight, but eclipsing 20-25 DK is reasonable in a pace-up spot against a subpar Syracuse defense where his three-point shooting can exploit the zone D.
Matthew ClevelandFSUPUR490021.75560020.83
Like Caleb Mills above, Cleveland also stepped into a higher-usage role with RayQuan Evans out last game and he’ll likely do so again tonight. Though he didn’t start that previous game, the freshman logged 33 minutes and put up 17 real points and 34 DK points with a 30% usage rate. Cleveland has been coming off the bench all year but he’s been one of FSU’s best players and now gets a bigger bump with Evans out.
Parker StewartIUSYR440012.08420010.63
Three-point shooters have always been a smart way to target the Syracuse zone defense for DFS and that continues to be the case this year. Stewart has been IU’s best perimeter threat so far while hitting 46% from deep and getting open looks with defenses keying on Jackson-Davis down low. Though most of his DFS value comes from actual points scored and three-pointers, he’s a bit too cheap on both sites for someone who can get hot and put up 15-20 DK in this matchup.
Jamarius BurtonPITTMINN340016.38480015.73
Burton has been coming off the bench to start the season but he’s logging starter-level minutes and running the point for Pitt more often than not. It may be a matter of time until the former Wichita State and Texas Tech transfer is starting and playing the alpha role for an offense desperate for a playmaker to take over. He’s too cheap on both sites but especially on DK for the potential to return 5-6x value or more.
Ty BerryNWWAKE310017.96490016.33
Berry is still a decent value on FD, but he’s mispriced on DK at close to the minimum. Yet again DK missed the mark on a few of these Northwestern guys as Ryan Greer, Robbie Beran, Casey Simmons and Julian Roper are too cheap for the potential for 5-6x return. Berry, though, could smash value if he gets hot from deep as NW’s most-active three-point shooter.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Payton Willis -- Minnesota ($6,700 DK / $6,700 FD)
  • Luke Loewe -- Minnesota ($5,100 DK / $4,900 FD)
  • Nick Honor -- Clemson ($4,600 DK / $7,100 FD)
  • Paul Mulcahy -- Rutgers ($4,200 DK / $7,200 FD)
  • William Jeffress -- Pittsburgh ($3,800 DK / $5,300 FD)
  • Meechie Johnson Jr. -- Ohio State ($3,300 DK / $4,200 FD)
  • Ryan Greer -- Northwestern ($3,000 DK / 4,600 FD)

E.J. LiddellOSUDUKE930041.46880038.82
There’s a slight chance Liddell busts in a tough matchup vs. Duke’s frontcourt duo of Paolo Banchero and Mark Williams. Still, the OSU big man could get enough usage and shot volume to anchor your lineups as he continues to be the Buckeyes’ go-to offensive option with heavy involvement. Liddell likely goes lower-rostered compared to other high-priced guys tonight, but the floor/ceiling combo is as good as any.
Wendell Moore Jr.DUKEOSU910038.21870036.11
If Duke is on the slate, then both Paolo Banchero and Wendell Moore are firmly in play as the team’s headliners. You can reasonably stack up both in the same lineup, but Moore gets the slight edge because he fills up the stat sheet in more ways while also averaging 17.9 PPG. He’s playing much better than most people expected and is coming off a 47 DK effort vs. Gonzaga. Fire him up for cash or GPP.
Trayce Jackson-DavisIUSYR730042.25860040.62
One of the best big men in the country is a top play on this slate vs. a below-average Syracuse defense that may struggle to contain him down low. Jackson-Davis is coming off a huge performance last time out vs. Marshall with his 43 real points scored and 67 DK - and he had 40 and 50 DK in IU’s two other games vs. tougher competition this season. He’s close to a cash core on both sites and is weirdly underpriced on DK.
Zach EdeyPURFSU600031.79800029.67
Unfortunately Purdue continues to platoon Edey and Trevion Williams at the center position with both logging only 20 minutes or less per game. It’s definitely not ideal for DFS purposes with their ceilings capped - but both are dominant in their limited time on the court. Edey is way too cheap on DK and he’ll likely be very popular for a guy who’s averaging 18.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 31.8 DK points per game in only 18.6 minutes per. That’s efficiency at its finest, but it hurts his value for GPPs.
Pete NanceNWWAKE590037.25830035.02
Before we say anything else, let’s just acknowledge how Nance is a much better play on DK with that savings and yet another mispricing. The Northwestern offense centers around Nance and Boo Buie and the former can realistically put up 30-40 DK tonight in a sneaky good DFS game to target. It’s a bit tough to pay up for Nance on FD, but his DK salary is a joke considering he’s put up 38+ DK in four of six games already.

Eric CurryMINNPITT540021.9550020.86
Though this matchup vs. Pitt could be lower-scoring and slow-paced, Curry’s DFS floor is safe enough to be a solid cash value. First off, Minnesota plays a very tight rotation where Curry and the starters get heavy playing time and only one or two bench guys getting into the game. Curry is getting all the minutes he can handle at the center spot and it gives him plenty of rebounds, ancillary stats and paint points for a decent floor.
Miller KoppIUSYR430015.46500014.70
Another Indiana value option because this matchup vs. Syracuse is too good to ignore. Kopp is shooting 35% from three-point range and could easily hit a few from deep while grabbing enough rebounds to return value on some cheap price tags. The pace-up environment will certainly increase the ancillary stat opportunities - like when he had 21 DK vs. St. John's earlier this season - and there’s a decent chance Kopp puts up 20+ DK in this matchup.
Joey BakerDUKEOSU420013.68450012.21
While all the top-priced Duke guys steal the headlines, Baker is a solid value at some cheap sub-5k tags. He’s one of the few reserves actually getting consistent playing time in Coach K’s rotation right now and has the potential to put up 15-20 DK if he drains a few from three-point range. The cash floor isn’t great, but there’s GPP potential here and people will likely overlook him on this slate.
Caleb FurstPURFSU410021.5580020.00
First of all, Furst is a much better DK value than on FD because of the crazy price differential. The 6-foot-10 freshman has the power forward spot locked down in Purdue’s rotation as he forms a dominant frontcourt with the rotating center duo of Williams/Edey. Though Furst usually takes a backseat offensively, he’s got a solid cash floor with his rebounding and just enough ancillary stat/real points production. The DK price tag could make him popular over there considering he’s put up 18+ DK in five straight games.
