With 10 games on the docket, there is generally a lot of value available to us, but we don’t have a ton of injuries we’re dealing with nor waiting on, so it’s a little more dried out than normal. Maybe things open up and some big names on back-to-backs sit, but for now let’s get into some value plays we have on the board.

FanDuel

Tyler Herro , MIA SF ($4,500)

News that we’ve had since Monday was that Jimmy Butler was doubtful to play in this game against Milwaukee which puts a lot of different Heat players in play. Herro has been on the floor more than any other Heat player this year and has carried a 22.3% USG with him. This is a get right game as Milwaukee’s defense has let them down as they’re 24th in the league in DRtg. Herro’s ability to stuff the box score along with how he’s a walking bucket when his shot is falling puts him firmly in play at this price tag.

Naz Reid , MIN PF ($4,500)

With Karl-Anthony Towns out for an extended period of time, Naz Reid is the expected center tonight. His first crack at the starting thing he played 27 minutes, scored 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. With Towns off the floor last year, Reid had a 24.3% USG and averaged 1.12 FP/min, which are both elite numbers for a guy who’s just 4.5K on FD. Reid has a chance at a double-digit rebounds here as the Clippers rank 23rd in that category.

Elfrid Payton , NYK PG ($4,800)

Look, it’s understandable if you’re not interested in playing Payton, but the price tag alone should keep you on your toes. Payton went for 27 points and seven assists in just 29 minutes against Milwaukee and has a very exploitable match-up against Cleveland. Whether it’s Sexton or Garland defending him, Sexton has a 119 DRtg for his career and Garland’s at 118. Payton is not someone you play in cash games, but has tournament winning upside as we saw on Sunday night against the Bucks.

DraftKings

Luguentz Dort , OKC SG/SF ($4,600)

When Dort entered the league, his profile very clearly stated defender, defender, defender. He’s given us two steals/blocks in each of the first two games but the kicker has been his ability to score the basketball. He’s put up 15 and 26 actual points in each of the first two games and hit five three’s on Monday. We could even see a slight uptick in usage and a bigger contribution in the rebounding column here from Dort with Al Horford already ruled out.

Nicolas Batum , LAC SF/PF ($4,500)

Let’s kind of forget about that Dallas game, right? I mean, they lost by 51 and that’s clearly not indicative of this team. Batum’s usage rate is garbage. Pure garbage, but is averaging .87 FP/min this year and is only 4.5K. With Marcus Morris out again, Batum will start at power-forward and the Denver game in what was a competitive game, he double-doubled and put up 37 FP while playing 36 minutes.

Avery Bradley , MIA SG/SF ($4,200)

It took no time for Bradley to be a key member of this rotation and be a big time contributor as well. Bradley played 28 minutes in his debut pouring in 12 points, securing two steals and notching four assists and two rebounds. Bradley has for a long time been considered a three-and-D guy, but with Jimmy Butler out the Heat need him to be more and we saw that in his first outing as he dished out four assists. It shouldn’t shock anyone to see him surpass 30 minutes in this contest.
