Pitchers
Pos Player Team Opp. Pitcher DK Sal.
SP Chang Mo Koo NCD C. Bell (L) $9,300
Talk about being completely and utterly dominant. Koo currently leads the KBO in ERA, FIP, WAR, is 5th in K/9 and is tied for the league lead in strikeouts as well. Now he gets to square off with the Hanwha Eagles who rank last in AVG, HR and RBI. Lock and load Koo for all formats.
SP Chris Flexen DOO D. Gagnon (R) $8,900
It’s really hard not to be enticed by Flexen as he pitches for the defending champs and the team currently sitting in second place this year. He’s flashed 30 DK point upside thanks to a 10 strikeout game and he’s also shown that his floor is double-figures in terms of DK points, which is nice for cash especially. This game total is only 8.5, which is the lowest on the slate, and DOO are favorites here.
SP Tyler Wilson LG S. Lee (L) $7,600
Although LG is on the road here, they’re favorites in the largest game total on the slate at 10.5. Wilson’s numbers from the outside looking in aren’t that great, but since being shelled by the Dinos the first game of the year, he’s responded in a major way posting quality outings in 3-of-4 starts. In those three QS, he posted 19+ DK points.
SP Chae Heung Choi SAM J. Park (R) $7,300
Outside of his last start, Choi has been pretty spectacular this season for a club not doing that well. Despite giving up seven runs (5 ER) while allowing 10 base runners last time out, Choi still has a 3.21 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP. That start came against NCD, who is mashing everything thrown at them to start this season. Choi has decent strikeout stuff as he’s posted a 7.4 K/9 or better in each season at the KBO level and this SK offense has struck out at the third highest clip in the league.
SP Je Seong Bae KTW D. Straily (R) $6,600
It’s a tough match-up for Bae here, but he really has pitched well. He doesn’t give up any type of power and hasn’t throughout his career. He’s not a big strikeout arm either but has two games of six or more already, so that’s more than enough if he shuts the LOT offense down.
Hitters
Pos Player Team Opp. Pitcher DK Sal.
C Eui Ji Yang NCD C. Bell (L) $5,900
I know the price continues to rise and the results haven’t exactly matched it, but he’s such an elite hitter. He has the split advantage here and despite not having as big a year thus far as he did last season, he still has driven in 23 runs and has a .923 OPS to boot.
C Kang Nam Yoo LG S. Lee (L) $3,300
After a slow start to the season, Yoo is turning it on offensive slashing .394/.412/.727 with three homers and 10 RBI over his last 10 games. We get the split advantage, one I’m going to document throughout this playbook because Lee allows RHH to bat .361 on the year. He also serves up 2.0 HR/9 innings, which will bite him in the ass against this potent LG offense.
1B Roberto Ramos LG S. Lee (L) $4,200
What does he have to do in order to be priced like the other top hitters in the league? He’s still only 4.2K! One night after hitting TWO more bombs adding to his league leading total of 12. Over his last 10 games alone, Ramos has a .400/.421/.857 slash. He’s not only a power hitter. He’s the total package. Lock him into your cash game builds.
1B Jae Il Oh DOO D. Gagnon (R) $3,500
Although he didn’t have a hit on Friday, it’s a surprise that Oh’s price continues to fall. He’s hitting .370 against RHP this year and we’ve already documented his struggles against LHH. Oh is coming off four straight seasons of 20+ HR & 80+ RBI.
1B/2B Jose Fernandez DOO D. Gagnon (R) $6,100
Although he didn’t have a hit on Friday, it’s a surprise that Oh’s price continues to fall. He’s hitting .370 against RHP this year and we’ve already documented his struggles against LHH. Oh is coming off four straight seasons of 20+ HR & 80+ RBI.
1B/2B Joo Hwan Choi DOO D. Gagnon (R) $2,200
We’re getting a guy flashing a ton of power upside this year for nearly minimum salary. He’s multiple position eligible and has hit 4-of-6 homers against RHP. Choi is one of the better values of the slate.
Pos Player Team Opp. Pitcher DK Sal.
1B/2B Keon Chang Seo KIW T. Wilson (R) $3,500
On a nightly basis, Seo has been one of the better values across the KBO and one our cash game lineups can use more often than not. Not only is he batting .323 on the year, but he’s hitting .357 over his last 10 games while belting two home runs, scoring seven runs and stealing two bases to boot. He does a little of everything and if there’s one thing we know about Tyler Wilson, it’s that he struggles with LHH. They’re hitting .286 off of him this season. Seo should capitalize.
3B Suk Min Park NCD C. Bell (L) $4,700
What Park does extremely well is reach base. He has a career mark over .400 and that’s in large part due to his keen eye at the plate. He’s posted a 10% BB rate or better in every year since 2008 and Chad Bell has had an issue throwing strikes thus far in 2020 as he has an abysmal 9.0 BB/9. Oh, Park also has 10+ home runs in every season since 2008 as well.
3B Min Sung Kim LG S. Lee (L) $4,000
Kim is the likely chalk at 3B tonight considering his match-up and the way he’s swinging it. He’s hit .294 over his last 10 games and draws a dream RH/LH affair against a guy allowing RHH a .361 AVG while serving up five bombs. Kim has been a really good hitter for a really long time and could thrive in a spot like this.
3B/SS Tyler Saladino SAM J. Park (R) $4,000
SS sucks on Saturday’s slate. Saladino has eligibility at both SS and 3B. He’s in a great place at the dish right now slashing .424/.512/.818 with three homers and 12 RBI just over the last 10 games. It’s not the best spot, but he’s crushed RHP to the tune of .328 and has belted all four of his homers against them.
SS Ha Seong Kim KIW T. Wilson (R) $6,000
He hasn’t been viable at this price tag until recently as he’s put up double digit DK points in 5-of-6 games and the 6th game he finished with nine. He’s only really been good for a handful of games this year and yet has an .892 OPS this year. That’s how talented he is offensively.
OF Jung Hoo Lee KIW T. Wilson (R) $5,000
We want lefties against Tyler Wilson. This is Kiwoom’s best as Lee has an OPS north of 1.000, 4 HR & 20 RBI. Lee is hitting .338 with all four of his bombs vs. RHP this year, while Wilson has allowed LHH to bat .286. He’s worth the price in this one.
OF Ah Seop Son LOT J. Bae (R) $3,500
It’s interesting when looking to attack Je Seong Bae he struggles with lefties and Son is really the only lefty LOT has that has been hitting at a consistent clip. His average is at .316 for the year and his hitless Friday broke a six-game hitting streak. He has little power, but lives in the gaps and has some speed hitting at the top of the order. You can use Bae and Son both in the same lineup if you’d like.
OF Mel Rojas Jr. KTW D. Straily (R) $6,500
We do not want anything to do with right-handers here, but lefties have given Dan Straily trouble this year batting .311 against him. Rojas went deep AGAIN on Friday for the fifth time in five games. Rojas would be in the running for league MVP if the season ended today.
OF Sung Bum Na NCD C. Bell (L) $5,400
HE IS ON FIRE. Na homered twice, hit a double, walked and drove in four runs on Friday, which were his fifth and sixth home runs over his last right games. It may be a lefty-lefty match-up, but Na is batting .400 with four homers against LHP this season.
OF Hee Dong Kwon NCD C. Bell (L) $2,200
Over his last 10 games, Kwon has slashed .419/.500/.677 with two homers, 11 runs scored and seven more driven in. Kwon has the advantage going up against a left-handed pitcher here as he’s batting .316 vs. southpaws on the year.
Team Stacks
1 LG Twins   Opp. Pitcher Seung Ho Lee
Stack Roberto Ramos Min Sung Kim Kang Nam Yoo Hyun Soo Kim JI Hwan Oh
This is going to be the chalkiest stack of the slate for sure. Kiwoom starter Seung Ho Lee has a 7.83 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and is serving up 2 HR/9 IP this season. LG is a top-4 offense pretty much accross the board in all statisical category and will be adding to their totals on Saturday.
2 DOO Bears   Opp. Pitcher Drew Gagnon
Stack Jose Fernandez Jae Il Oh Joo Hwan Choi Jae Hwan Kim
It's not that I don't think Drew Gagnon could have some success in this spot, but he struggles with left-handed hitters and Doosan has some ELITE lefty swingers. Gagnon has allowed LHH to bat .333 and he's allowed 7-of-9 XBH to LHH to boot. It could be a long night for the import in Gagnon.
3 NCD Dinos   Opp. Pitcher Chad Bell
Stack Sung Bum Na Ei Ji Yang Suk Min Park Hee Dong Kwon Aaron Altherr
The Dino's is so potent in every aspect of run the word. They work pitchers, reach base at a high clip, hit home runs, everything. Chad Bell has not looked great his first two outings of the year as he cant find the strikezone averaging 9 BB/9 while posting a 5.14 ERA and 5.5 WHIP. The Dinos have elite players against the split and one of the hottest in the game in Sung Bum Na that is a walking home run.
