eStar Gaming v TT

JD Gaming v Rogue Warriors

T1 v Nongshim RedForce

Gen.G v DRX

Expectations are being formed about these teams and we have a better view about how they are run. Teams with high expectations like T1 and JDG are falling short with their fanbases beginning to panic about the state of their team while teams like ES, NS, and Rogue Warriors are just treading water at the bottom of the table. TT had a shocking upset over V5 in their last match, can they keep up that momentum? Let’s dive into the matches and find the optimal picks for Wednesday.

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Ruler (GEN: $11,400) While Ruler has fewer kills than BAO this season, Ruler is still the better pick in this matchup. BAO and DRX has faced almost exclusively the bottom of the pack. Ruler is a quieter member of Gen.G but with a 5 KDA and a 63% kill participation over all of Gen.G’s kills. Gen.G is expected to win this matchup pretty handedly and their avenue to do it is to shut down BAO In the bot lane.

Value Pick: irma (ES: $10,800) The reason why irma tends to go unnoticed is because eStar is putting up yet another forgettable split. The sum of this team’s parts does not equal the value of the pieces and their 2-4 record shows that. In the mid lane, irma has put up decent numbers with a 3.2 KDA and is up in gold and experience against his lane opponents. This is a sneaky good price and can help you dump money elsewhere in your draft.

Top Lane

Favorite: Zoom (JDG: $6,800) I am not in love with really top lakers on this slate (Maybe Rascal?) but I think Zoom vs Ziv is just a very safe pick up. Both are relatively close but the supporting cast gap is just too big. Zoom also plays a lot closer to even in lane were in most instances Ziv loses lane pretty heavily.

Value Pick: Canna (T1: $6,200) This is probably the most skilled top laner on the slate. He is a little cheaper than Rascal and Zoom because his team (T1) is a dumpster fire right now. Even with T1 being 2-4, Canna has still put up some serious numbers. Canna has 38 kills and 73 assists, both of which put him in the top portion of the LCK top laners. Regardless of what happens elsewhere in this match, Canna should be able to hold his own.

Jungle

Favorite: H4cker (ES: $7,200) I love this pick up on this slate. From my LPL breakdown I have been a H4cker advocate. On a team who has only won 36% of their matches, H4cker is 46-30-70 and has participated in 69% of his team’s kills. ES plays through the opportunities created by their Jungler and you should be able to cash in on this with their match against the LPL’s worst team in TT.

Value Pick: Peanut (NS: $6,200) Peanut ranks equal or better than T1’s junglers in almost every category. He has a 3.9 KDA and 70% team kill participation and posted a score line of 8-5-10 in their series sweep of KT Rolster. Peanut will be aggressive in trying to make plays against T1, especially in the mid lane. This smells like the most likely “upset” of the slate and means you can get Peanut for pretty cheap.

Mid Lane

Favorite: Bdd (GEN: $7,400) Bdd is such an unsung LCK mid laners and he has had a great year so far. With 43 kills and 84 assists he is in the top three in the LCK in most metrics. What makes this pick up exciting is he is is part of over 20% of all of Gen.G’s first blood kills. Bdd should roll over the significantly lesser SOLKA.

Value Pick: Twila (TT: $6,600) This is a longshot pick. TT picked up a shocking win over V5 in their last match and a lot of it came off of the performance of Twila. He showed out in match 2 with his 7-1-13 Neeko pick. I think there is some overlooking at the raw talent that TT does have but there is a pretty high ceiling for some of these players.

ADC

Favorite: Loken (JDG: $8,200) Sitting at a 3.1 KDA, Loken has only 26 deaths in the split. He is a safe ADC that if his team wins, Loken has big games. Against a better team, I would shade against this pick. Loken doesn’t make the plays himself but his ability to follow up is really second to none. Against Rogue Warriors, I wouldn’t expect much from him in the early game but as RW falls apart in the late game, Loken will benefit.

Value Pick: rat (ES: $7,400) The best part of the rat pick up is that he is part of 30% of all of estar’s first blood kills. In most of their matches, ES has a decent early game but usually slip in the mid to late game. With the low ratings in all stages of the game for TT, rat should have a nice stat padding match here.

Support

Favorite: Life (GEN: $5,200) This is the best and safest bet for support on the slate. He is the lowest kill participation support at sub 60% but the trade off is the attention of Gen.G in the early game is the bot lane. The stack of Ruler and Life is well worth the money and you have an opportunity to rack up some serious points.

Value Pick: Kellin (NS: $4,800) This is a great pick up for the price. NS has a really chance to upset T1 in this match and while it won’t come from the bot lane during laning phase, Kellin and Peanut will make it happen in the mid to late game. He has a 74% kill participation along with 105 assists through 14 matches. If NS pulls off this upset it will come through the team fighting in the late game and that is Kellin’s speciality.

Team

Favorite: JD Gaming ($5,800) There is a huge price tag on this match because of the ocean difference in skill between these two teams. Rogue Warriors are a flashy early game fighting team and JDG has actually worked to slow down the early game. JDG really tries to win through more macro play and RW just cannot seem to get a firm grasp on how to move across thathe map. I think there is an outside chance RW could steal a map but it is very unlikely they steal two.

Value Pick: eStar ($5,400) This should be pretty one sided. Outside of the midlane there really aren’s many places where TT has an opportunity to find ways to win. ES has talent on this roster, but they have had a hard time making it fit and especially with some of the more difficult opponents they have faced. With inferior opponents, ES should be able to gain a little bit of steam in this match.
