Below is a breakdown Monday’s two-game NHL DFS slate followed by example lineups.

Teams to Target

Happy Monday everyone! We have up to two games going on today with the Boston Bruins facing the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Dallas Stars taking on the Colorado Avalanche. Starting with the early game, the Lightning’s top line should be in consideration with Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov, and Ondrej Palat. Kucherov, in particular, is a player who should be targeted, the Bruins haven’t had an answer for him all series. Hedman continues to be a great option on defence as well, as he piles up the shots, and blocks to go along with points. If you’re looking for a cheaper option on defence, Mikhail Sergachev is always a good option as well. With Boston, the only player I really feel comfortable with today is David Pastrnak. He continues to shoot with volume and is putting up points. If you’re looking for cheaper options on the Bruins, you can also consider David Krejci, with Ondrej Kase, or Jake DeBrusk. Not a lot changes when looking at the late game tonight. It will be hard to pass on Nathan MacKinnon in cash games because of his ownership rate/production. Pairing him with Cale Makar is a nice pairing, as both are over 2 points per game in the last week. As for Dallas, using their defence is the safest way to go with either John Klingberg or Miro Heiskanen. Among their forwards, Joe Pavelski is the best option, he is providing both shots and points right now. Jamie Benn has been their most productive forward, but I am wary of how consistent his production can be with him only playing 14 minutes per night.

Value Plays

Joe Pavelski (4,700 DK, 5,600 FD)  - In the last three games, Pavelski has 15 shots and two points. Most importantly though, he is the only Stars forward who is seeing close to 20 minutes per night, which should allow him to keep his shot volume high.

Ondrej Palat  (4,700 DK, 4,800 FD) - Palat is a player I want to continue to stay on while he is hot and cheap. He has 5 points in his last 3 games, and 12 shots to go along with it. If he continues this pace you will regret not using him in your cash games.

Mikhail Sergachev (3,800-DK, 4,700 FD) - At this point, Sergachev almost feels like a constant. He takes shots, he gets blocks and he jumps up into the play. He is a nice alternative to Hedman on nights where you can’t fit him into your roster.

Goalies

When looking at the goalie matchup’s tonight, Vasilevsiy should be viewed as the safest option. He should get a win tonight, without giving up 3 or more goals, making him ideal for cash games. I don’t mind the Halak side either, as I generally want to avoid Colorado and Dallas tonight for goalies if I can.
