2023 Recap: Now, here is some excitement. The former first round pick went 14/14 in 69 games while batting a solid .267. There was some benefit from a .333 BABIP, as a .250 xBA is likely more reasonable. Of greater concern is the gap between his .504 SLG and .443 xSLG.
2024 Outlook: With an 11.8-degree average launch angle, Gelof isn't a true home run hitter, and his home park will work against him. Gelof's supporting cast will be an issue as well. Even as we could get a 20/20 season out of second base, Gelof's runs, and RBI will be lacking.
