2025 Player Outlook

Suarez grabbed hold of the closer role in San Diego and ran with it, locking down 36-of-42 save chances. He lacks the typical strikeout numbers of a lockdown closer (22.9 percent strikeout rate), but he also posted an excellent 6.2 percent walk rate. He is armed with a triple-digit fastball and did post a 12.5 percent swinging strike rate, so maybe he is able to find some more strikeouts. Regardless, he should be an excellent source of saves.
