2022 Player Outlook
Rooker hit nine home runs in just 58 games last season, but a 32.9 percent strikeout rate and a 33.4 percent whiff rate sent his average down to .201. To Rooker's credit, his xBA of .238 last year looks for better than what his actual batting average was. Playing time wasn't guaranteed in Minnesota for Rooker, and it seems like the same story for the outfielder in San Diego. He packs a good punch with his bat, but of course, that only happens when he does in fact make contact.
