2022 Player Outlook
Pena is still incredibly young, but there's a lot to like from his time in Triple-A last year, namely the 10 home runs and .944 OPS in 30 games at Triple-A. Pena has a lot of potential, and he stole 17 bases back a A-ball in 2019. Pena showed that he could hit for a good average in the minors, but you would ideally like him to cut into that strikeout rate a bit from his time in Triple-A (26.3 K%). He might be given a chance to be the team's everyday shortstop, which could see him be a member of the 10/10 club with a .250 batting average if things go well.
