2023 Player Outlook
The right-hander logged 200.1 innings in 33 starts last season while finishing with a 3.37 ERA. Kelly brought his ERA down from 2021 by almost a full run but his 4.01 SIERA does not paint as favorable a picture. The fact that Kelly struck out 7.95 batters per nine innings last season does hold him back compared to his peers, but on a lot of levels, his 2022 season looked very similar to 2021. Kelly is ultimately a solid back end of the rotation option.
