Acquired to bolster the rotation, Baz brings elite raw stuff but a history of volatility. In 2025 with the Rays, he flashed brilliance but battled consistency and high pitch counts. The Orioles are betting that a move to Camden Yards, with its spacious left field, will help suppress his home run issues.
2026 Outlook: A high-upside gamble. If he can stay healthy and efficient, he has top-20 starter potential. However, he is best drafted as an SP4 with the understanding that he may miss time or blow up occasionally.
