2022 Player Outlook
Quite a down year for McNeil who had never had a season where he hit below .311 only to hit just .251 last year with an OPF of .679. Attributing to his struggles was a career low .280 BABIP and a career low hard contact rate. His line drive rate was down, and his infield fly ball percentage was much higher than the previous few seasons. So, do we just chalk this up to a bad year or, is this a sign of things to come for McNeil moving forward? Again, the Mets offense last year was very bad for a long time and McNeil could certainly bounce back given his track record of production from the prior seasons. McNeil is largely going undrafted right now in standard league formats with an average ADP of 307.7.
