2022 Player Outlook
Judge avoided the IL and played 148 games last season. Those are the most games he’s played since the 2017 season. Manager Aaron Boone, who provided Judge with the occasional off day, now seems to have a good feel for how to get the most out of his star player. Judge showed better plate discipline this season as he posted the lowest K rate of his career (25%). If Judge’s chronic injury history is truly a thing of the past, then we can expect more of what we saw from him during the 2021 season. When healthy he’ll provide fantasy managers with home run power in the 35 plus range, a solid batting average approaching the .280 mark (his xBA was .306 last season) and an RBI total approaching the century mark.
