2023 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Judge missed almost two months of the season due to a torn ligament in his toe, but he still managed to hit 37 home runs and drive in 75 RBI. There were some kinks in his armor as his .267 batting average was 44 points lower than his 2022 .311 average. Breaking balls gave him trouble this season, (.213 BAA compared to .297 in 2022) and there was a slight uptick in his K rate combined with a drop in his contact rate.
2024 Outlook: Judge is expected to play a majority of his games as the Yankees' centerfielder and covering all of that ground may be a bit taxing for a man of his stature, but the bottom line is that if he plays a full season, he’s one of the few players in baseball who is a lock for 40 plus home runs and there’s an excellent chance that he’ll drive in at least 100 runs.
