2022 Player Outlook

Robertson had Tommy John surgery near the end of the 2019 season, and didn't pitch in 2020. He's logged just 18.2 innings over the last three seasons, but prior to 2019, he was excellent for multiple years with different teams. From 2014-2017, over 258.1 innings of work, Robertson posted a 2.93 ERA, 2.83 FIP, 12.37 K/9 and 124 saves. Chicago is looking to bolster their bullpen, and if Robertson looks good early on in the season, I wouldn't be surprised if he is, at the very least, splitting save chances with Rowan Wick. Robertson is someone to monitor throughout spring training and the early weeks of 2022.
