2022 Player Outlook

Saying Polanco's 2021 season was excellent might be an understatement. His .269 batting average might be below where it's been in recent years, but he hit 33 home runs, drove in 98 runs, crossed home 97 times himself and stole 11 bases. He was a member of the 30/10 club, thanks to a massive jump in his barrel rate (10.1%) that may not be repeatable. There's going to be some trade-offs here in 2022, largely between his batting average and home runs. I anticipate he gives back a couple home runs, but gains some points on his batting average. Think something along the lines of 25 home runs and a .270 batting average in the heart of the Minnesota order.
