It has been a busy week heading into Week 11 of the season.  The fantasy playoffs are almost here which is astounding to think how fast the season has been going.  As a disclaimer, I did not include any Seahawks running backs in this article because there is no point in doing so.  You assume the risk of owning or starting any Seattle running back and should be fully aware that they are all injured in some capacity and none of them have any fantasy value.  So, without further ado, let’s delve into the next edition of the fantasy football emergency room.

Leonard Fournette (RB-JAX) – The Jaguars rookie running back has been a non-factor for several weeks now after dealing with an injury, suspension and then struggling upon his return last weekend.  He is still dealing with an ankle injury which limited him in practice this week but his status for Week 11 does not seem in jeopardy.  Fournette had scored a touchdown in six straight games before last week but he will have a salivating opportunity to start a new streak this week against the hapless Browns.  Fournette is a high-end RB1 option for Week 11.

Devonta Freeman (RB-ATL) – Freeman did not practice again on Thursday seemingly cementing the fact that he will not play this week.  He is dealing with his second concussion of the season so the Falcons are going to be very cautious with their star running back.  Tevin Coleman will get the start in his absence but will have to face a tough Seattle defense that is missing Richard Sherman so it is possible that Atlanta will look to air it out against a more vulnerable secondary.

Philip Rivers (QB-LAC) – Rivers has made 185 starts in a row and now it looks like he will make it to 186 after practicing in full on Thursday.  He had been in the league’s concussion protocol this week but is back on track to playing on Sunday against the Bills.  He could be in for a big game against a Buffalo defense that got torched by the Saints last week so consider him a low-end QB1 depending on what your other options are.

Will Fuller (WR-HOU) – Fuller has not been officially ruled out yet but the Texans do not expect him to play on Sunday.  He is dealing with a rib injury which can be extremely painful so all signs are pointing to him being sidelined for Week 11.  Fuller’s value took a nose dive when DeShaun Watson was lost for the season so he would only be a WR3 option due to the train wreck that s Houston’s quarterback situation.  Bruce Ellington will play in his place and should only be considered in deeper leagues as a WR3 or Flex option this week.

Jordan Reed (TE-WAS) – It wouldn’t be a normal week if Jordan Reed’s status wasn’t up for debate.  He apparently suffered a setback with his hamstring injury and has declared himself a game-time decision for this week’s game against the Saints.  Reed has been limited to 27 catches for 211 yards and two touchdowns in just six games so he cannot be depended upon by fantasy GMs fighting for a playoff berth.  Vernon Davis will still see significant playing time even if Reed suits up so Davis is the more dependable option this week if you are debating between Redskins tight ends.

Dez Bryant (WR-DAL) – Bryant has been dealing with a knee injury but did return to practice on Thursday this week.  There has not been any doubt about his status to play this weekend against the Eagles but he may not be at 100%.  The Cowboys need him to step up with Ezekiel Elliott suspended and injuries on the offensive line.  Bryant will be up against a solid Philadelphia secondary but this matchup of division rivals is expected to see a lot of points on the board so he remains a viable WR2 option for Week 11.

Demaryius Thomas (WR-DEN) – Thomas has been battling injuries all season and has been listed on the injury report almost every week.  While he has been limited in practice frequently, it has not impacted his ability to play as he has compiled 48 catches for 569 yards and two touchdowns.  He has been victimized by Denver’s poor quarterback play so he is no longer a WR1 option.  However, he is still a dependable fantasy option as the Broncos’ primary receiver and you can count on him being on the field this weekend against Cincinnati.

Alshon Jeffery (WR-PHI) – The Eagles have been on fire including Alshon Jeffery who has caught three touchdown passes over his past two games.  He is dealing with an ankle injury that has been bothering him for quite some time, but he expects to play through it and be on the field against Dallas on Sunday night.  This should be a high-scoring game and Jeffery is a must-start as he looks to exploit the Cowboys’ susceptible secondary.

Chris Hogan (WR-NE) – Hogan still has not practiced since suffering a shoulder injury a few weeks ago so his status for Sunday against the Raiders does not look good.  He would have been in for a premiere matchup against a vulnerable Oakland defense but that means Danny Amendola should reap those rewards in his place.  Keep stashing Hogan because he should be back soon and will be a valuable fantasy asset as you head towards your league’s playoffs.

Ty Montgomery (RB-GB) – Montgomery did not practice on Thursday as he is still dealing with the re-aggravation of his rib injury he suffered last week.  It is not looking good for him to play this weekend against the Ravens which is disappointing because he would have seen more snaps and touches with Aaron Jones also out.  Check in again over the weekend to see what the final determination will be but right now you should plan on seeing Jamaal Williams handling the lion’s share of touches out of the Green Bay backfield.

Terrelle Pryor (WR-WAS) – Pryor missed practice on Thursday with an ankle injury, and an argument can be made he has missed the entire season due to irrelevance.  He has been a non-factor all year and was not even targeted last week against Minnesota.  Pryor was a big free agent signing and had a lot of fantasy hype, but he has been a monumental failure and should not be in starting lineups at this point.

Drew Stanton (QB-ARZ) – Stanton practiced in a limited capacity the past couple days but his status for Sunday is very much in doubt.  Arizona appears to be leaning towards starting Blaine Gabbert but that decision has not been made yet.  Continue to monitor this situation through the weekend because we may not know until game time.  Either way, the Cardinals wide receivers will have limited fantasy value as it is expected they will rely heavily on Adrian Peterson and the running game.

Isaiah Crowell (RB-CLE) – Crowell was limited in practice on Thursday with a shoulder injury but still appears on track to play on Sunday against Jacksonville.  He has rushed for 441 yards and two touchdowns on the season but will find it difficult to pad those statistics this week against a dominant Jaguars defense.  He is a RB3 or Flex option if you are desperate to fill a slot due to other injuries or bye weeks.

Brandon LaFell (WR-CIN) – LaFell is coming off his best game of the season last week but has been limited in practice with a knee injury.  He appears ready to play on Sunday but will have a tough matchup against a Denver defense which is looking for revenge after getting torn to shreds over the past couple weeks.  The Bengals could be walking into a buzz saw so it is advisable to stay away from LaFell for Week 11.

DeShone Kizer (QB-CLE) – Kizer suffered a rib injury last week against the Lions but managed to finish the game after sitting out a short period of time.  He has thrown for 1,376 yards with only four touchdowns and 12 interceptions which is a horrifying ratio.  He is not a good fantasy option this week in any league format as he will be up against a Jaguars defense which has been dominant most of the season.
