Injuries were bountiful in Week 14 with key players such as Thomas Rawls, Mark Ingram and Andy Dalton all out for the remainder of the fantasy season and the likes of Jonathan Stewart and T.J. Yeldon being lost for at least this upcoming week.  With those key players all out, the waiver wires were pretty active this week so let’s get to it.  Here are the top players added at each position heading into Week 15.

Quarterbacks

Tyrod Taylor, BUF – Taylor was a bit of a letdown in Week 14 as he drew a very favorable matchup against the Eagles but was only able to throw one touchdown as well one interception which was his first since Week 4.  Taylor did rush for 53 yards which helped boost the overall fantasy point production but on owners were expecting much more.  In Week 15 the Bills will travel to Washington to face the Redskins who have been a very good home team this season and will pose a challenge.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, NYJ – Pretty soon I am going to have this article renamed in honor of Ryan Fitzpatrick as he has been among the top two fantasy quarterbacks owned on a near weekly basis but has just now finally achieved 50 percent ownership despite his ridiculous production this year.  Over the last three games particularly, Fitzpatrick has thrown nine touchdowns with zero interceptions which helped him finish with 29, 25 and 24 fantasy pints over that stretch in standard leagues.  The Jets travel to Dallas in Week 15 which will bring a tougher matchup but the Jets’ offense is rolling of late and I expect another big outing.

Running Backs

Tim Hightower, NO – Hightower was largely claimed prior to Week 14 with Mark Ingram being placed on IR and he did not disappoint those owners as he rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.  A favorable matchup against the Lions awaits Hightower in Week 15 where the Saint and Lions figure to be in a high-scoring contest.

Denard Robinson, JAX – T.J. Yeldon went down with a knee sprain in Week 14 and Robinson got the call and he impressed, carrying the ball 14 times for 75 yards and a touchdown against the Colts.  Another favorable matchup awaits Robinson and the Jaguars as they face a reeling Falcons squad that has struggled against the run this season.

Wide Receivers

Tyler Lockett, SEA – Doug Baldwin has been getting all the glory over the past four weeks and for good reason. But that has taken some of the attention away from the rookie and he has excelled in his expanded role which culminated with his performance in Week 14 where he caught six passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.  Defenses should continue to focus on Baldwin which will open up targets for Lockett and given his elite speed he is a great big-play option for the Seahawks' new found passing attack.

Ted Ginn, CAR – Speaking of elite speed, Ginn has been putting on a show over the last two weeks as he and Cam Newton have connected on five touchdown passes over the last three games in which Ginn has played.  In Week 14 Ginn caught just two passes but totaled 120 yards and two scores as both touchdowns were downfield passes in which he got behind the Falcons secondary.  The Panthers will take their undefeated record on the road in Week 15 to face a Giants defense that has struggled all season long which could result in a few more deep touchdown passes to Ted Ginn.

Tight Ends

Richard Rodgers, GB – Rodgers caught just one pass in Week 14 but he made it count as it went for his seventh touchdown of the season.  The touchdown was also his second in as many games as he continues to find a bigger role in the Packers' passing attack.  In Week 15 the Packers will face off against a Raiders team that has allowed opposing tight ends to find the end zone with regularity this season.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TB – ASJ turned in an identical stat line for the second straight week as he caught three passes for 31 yards against the Saints in what was expected to be a very favorable matchup for him.  With news that Vincent Jackson is unlikely to play on Thursday against the Rams, it should allow for more targets to comes ASJ’s way. However the Rams do have a tough defense so I would temper my expectations.
