Week 13. Damn. The season just flies by, doesn’t it? As for this week’s top five quarterbacks, we see a lot of usual names and many of them don’t need a justification to be on this list. I could just write the word “because” underneath them and you wouldn’t question it whatsoever. Why is Drew Brees the top option this week? Because. It’s that simple. Some of these guys are matchup proof and you are going to roll with them each and every week. Also, Drew Brees is at home against a bad Detroit pass defense. It’s like taking candy from a baby!

Here are the top 5 quarterbacks for Week 13 of the NFL season.

Drew Brees vs. DET

Brees dominates at home. Brees is incredibly better at home. He’s arguably the best quarterback when playing at home. There’s three reasons to play Brees AT HOME against the Lions.

Andrew Luck @ NYJ

Tom Brady suggested Jets’ corner Darrelle Revis is playing injured and that certainly would explain a lot. He’s been far from the Revis of old and this entire New York defense has been torched through the air. Luck has a great opportunity on Monday night to score 20+ fantasy points.

Tom Brady vs. LA

Come on, it’s Tom Brady! You play the man every week, so why is this week different? The Rams have picked off just six passes this season, while Brady has thrown just one interception. Terrific Tom has thrown for multiple touchdowns in all but one game this season, so there you go, QB1.

Ben Roethlisberger vs. NYG

Roethlisberger is a fantasy goldmine. He has Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown at his disposal, arguably two of the best receiving options at running back and wide receiver respectively. Roethlisberger is healthy and despite the better defensive play of late by the Giants, Big Ben is a different breed that they will struggle to defend.

Aaron Rodgers vs. HOU

For the season as a whole, the Texans have been pretty good against opposing quarterbacks, thanks to a formidable pass rush and an excellent secondary. However, over the last three weeks, they’ve shown some holes, allowing eight passing touchdowns during that span. Green Bay has no run game, which means Rodgers will be expected to throw early and often in this one.
