As we all expected, Marvin Jones is leading the league in receiving yards, with Jarvis Landry and Amari Cooper coming in second and third respectively. Will Fuller has more receiving yards than DeAndre Hopkins in Houston, and Cole Beasley is leading the Cowboys in receiving yards. If you didn’t expect these stats at this juncture of the season, you’re foolish. Just kidding, of course. There have been some surprises to this point of the season, but the fact remains that it’s going to be hard to be successful, season-long or daily, without at least one good wide receiver on your team. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get at least one of these guys in your lineup. It definitely can be done in daily, so that excuse isn’t viable.

Once again, since someone on this list is a Thursday participant, I’ll be bringing you the top 6 wide receivers for Week 4 of the NFL season.

Antonio Brown vs. KC

Brown’s 305 receiving yards are fourth most in all of football, but he does happen to lead the league in targets with 40. The Chiefs have been solid thus far against wideouts, but Brown is a different breed. Other guys around him struggled last week, prompting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to look Brown’s way 18 times. He’s a surefire WR1 this week, even with Marcus Peters covering him.

A.J. Green vs. MIA

The Dolphins have allowed the seventh-most points to opposing wide receivers and simply put, they have no one that can cover Green. His 32 targets are 12 more than the next closest guy and we can expect to see a lot quarterback Andy Dalton firing it to his trusted target. Miami should, hopefully, keep this game close, which will allow Green to pack on the stats.

Allen Robinson vs. IND

Robinson came back to fantasy relevance last week, hauling in two touchdown passes from quarterback Blake Bortles. Robinson had just one catch in last year’s final meeting, but the game got out of hand quickly and Robinson was lost in the shuffle. He did have 12 targets the other game, however. His 31 targets rank in the top 10 and he will likely be utilized often in this potential shootout.

Julio Jones vs. CAR

Jones couldn’t get it going against New Orleans, but despite facing a tougher defense this week, he has a great opportunity to produce. In two games last year against the Panthers, he caught 16 passes on 21 targets for 266 yards and one touchdown. That was with Josh Norman in town! He’s likely going to see some double-coverage, but Atlanta will have to use him more than last week. WR1 in Week 4.

DeAndre Hopkins vs. TEN

Yes, this guy is my favorite player, but there are no biases when it comes to these rankings. I looked at his numbers over the years against the Titans and he has obliterated them. In his last three games against the Titans, he’s caught 24 passes on 31 targets for 449 yards and four touchdowns. The Titans defense has gotten better, but it’s still not ready to contain Hopkins.

Marvin Jones @ CHI

Jones’ 408 receiving yards lead the National Football league, along with his nine catches for 20-plus yards. He’s surpassed Golden Tate as the top option in Detroit and he now gets a match-up with the Chicago Bears. Despite all the injuries, Chicago has been decent against opposing wide receivers as a whole, but they’ve struggled to cover some of the better ones. Jones is firmly in the must-start echelon.
