Wendell was one of four active Rb's for the Eagles last week, and had his first carry that went for negative five yards and a fumble. With the dismissal of Huff, Smallwood is expected to play more on special teams. He had one return last week for 23 yards. Look for him to receive at least one more opportunity to produce on special teams this week.
Kirk Cousins Headshot

Redskins president Bruce Allen said the team hasn't discussed trading Cousins, CSN Mid-Atlantic reports. "I can't keep up with the rumors," Allen said. "Kirk and I have talked almost a dozen times this offseason, and we get to laugh when we hear these different rumors. We haven't talked to anyone."

The Redskins used the franchise tag on Cousins for a second straight offseason, which led to rumors the team could trade him if negotiations on a long-term deal weren't going well. The two sides have until July 15 to reach an agreement, and even if nothing comes to pass, it seems the Redskins would rather risk losing Cousins without compensation next offseason than deal him now and essentially give up their chances of competing in 2017. Meanwhile, the team lost aging wideouts DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in free agency, but then acted quickly to sign Terrelle Pryor to a one-year, $8 million deal. The team also added Brian Quick, who provides some insurance for 2016 first-round selection Josh Doctson. Washington's backfield looks to be the weak point of the offense, but the upcoming draft could take care of that, featuring a slew of running backs with early-round potential.
