Rodriguez was released by the Braves on Tuesday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien reports.
The lefty reliever was acquired from the Dodgers as part of the three-team July 2015 trade that brought outfielder Hector Olivera to the Braves from Los Angeles. He was not out of minor league options, so the move to release him really speaks to what the Braves thought of his ability to help the club this season. The Braves now have three relievers, Kevin Chapman, Chaz Roe and David Hernandez, competing for the final two spots in the bullpen. Mar 28 11:15 am (EST)
