What can I say, I’m just not a Las Vegas kind of guy. Sure, my work takes me there a couple times a year but I’m not one to really take advantage of what the city has to offer. In fact, I’m in Vegas right now, on day 9 of an 11 day trip and the fact I’m find and pecking my way through this column on a Friday night tells you all you need to know about yours truly and Sin City. Truth be told, I’m much rather be at a ballpark than a casino.

The fine folks at FantasyAces must be mind-readers. Get this – they’re holding the 2015 FantasyAces World Baseball Championship at a real-live Major League ballpark. And not just any ballpark, FantasyAces is hosting the event in beautiful Angels Stadium in sunny Anaheim. Yes, that’s right, on Saturday August 15, 20 lucky invitees will vie for their share of the $250,000 overall pot, with $100,000 going to the winner.

The prize-package is actually a three-day getaway with accommodations at the world-famous Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach and includes a unique harbor cruise on a deluxe 100-foot motor yacht.

Want more? Not only that, but before the World Championship Tournament, the contestants will also be treated to a tour of Angels Stadium which will feature a once-in-a-lifetime FantasyAces Home Run Derby live on the field. Later Saturday evening, the festivities will move to the luxurious Ketel One Club overlooking home plate where the contestants will watch all the games while eating and drinking to their merriment.

And don’t forget, one of the lucky 20 will be $100,000 richer by night’s end.

Weekly qualifying events for the FAWBC will begin on April 10, 2015, at FantasyAces.com, with the winner of each contest claiming a seat in the 20-person live final.

If you’ve never played DFS baseball at FantasyAces, you’re really missing out. The two-pitcher lineup along with second base/shortstop and first/third base combined into middle and corner infield respectively makes for unique and challenging roster constructions. The pricing is sharp but fair.

Please join me and the rest of the Fantasy Alarm staff in the weekly qualifying tournaments. Good luck taking down a satellite so you can be one of the 19 fortunate individuals to be joining me in Newport Beach because one of the winning tickets has my name written all over it!
