Fantasy Basketball Daily League Value Picks: NBA Postseason Mon.-Wed. Claim Your FREE Entry

The Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant

I am going to flip the script here in the Daily Du-Rant and venture from my regular season ABCD tiered format and focus on providing you strictly with some discounted dandies to target as with so few games to chose from you do not need someone telling you that you should roster team’s star players. If you have any specific Fantasy Basketball questions feel free to tweet me @FantasyNomad and all prices and player points come from DraftStreet.

Special shoutout to Cjk11, a member of the Fantasy Alarm community, who took down DraftStreet’s $100K NBA Scoreboard contest this past weekend. Congrats from all of us at Fantasy Alarm as we are glad someone from our community hit it big. Now time for the picks that hopefully make you the next big winner.

Discounted Dandies

0653.jpgNene Hilario (10%) Nene’s 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block lead the Wizards to a Game One win over the Bulls 102-93 Sunday. While you would expect Chicago to step up their defense in Game Two Nene’s price and potential now that he appears healthy still make him worth considering. One additional thing in Nene’s favor, especially on a site like DraftStreet that has efficiency based scoring (-0.5 for a missed shot), is that Nene is shooting over 65% from the floor since returning from injury.

1873.jpgDarren Collison (9.0%) Clippers starting point guard, Chris Paul, has a strained right hamstring which he said he has been receiving constant treatment on but will still play. While CP3 will play he is definitely not anywhere near 100% and either A) could reinjure it causing him to leave Monday’s game early or B) see limited minutes for one reason or another which would open the door for even more minutes for Collison who I expect will have a much better shooting performance than the 2-for-9 he posted in Game One.

These following two value plays come courtesty of the great Mark @DaTrueGuru Kaplan (2012 FSWA Fantasy Basketball Champ):

2069.jpgJeff Teague (13.1%) tore up the downtrodden Pacers last game and definitely could repeat his performance in game two. The Pacers are a team that is in flux right now who seem disinterested in playing defense. Teague hit 9-of-19 shots and went 9-for-10 from the free throw line. He only had five assists, a total that will likely increase making at least a 30 FP night a lock with the potential he could reach 40 FP if his shots fall in his favor.

1048.jpgTrevor Ariza (10.7%) price is still low considering he put up 30 FP in Game One. Arizia played 38 minutes in that game and should see similar minutes in Game Two because the Wizards need him to play well if they are going to have a chance to sweep the first two road games from the Bulls. I’m not worried that he took just eight shots, making five, because he will get double digit shots in this game which will increase in fantasy output making him one of the better plays on DraftStreet.

Make sure to bookmark this page so you have it going forward as there will be plenty of fantasy basketball content throughout the summer including more DFS recommendations, NBA Draft and Summer League coverage, as well as strategy sessions as you may also be planning for next season.
