It’s hard to believe that we are in the final week of the 2017 regular season. Hopefully these “Stack” articles have helped you cash in all season long at your favorite DFS providers. It’s been fun bringing them to you.  We’ve done the traditional team and game stacks along with some hybrid versions the include power stacks, volume stacks, etc.  We’ll get back to the basics tonight and stick to the traditional view of a “stack” and look at the top three team options and the best game stack options for tonight, Tuesday, September 26…

I’ll start this with a preface though. I don’t ever do the “easy” thing here when the Rockies are in Colorado. Sure, stacking the Rockies can (and will) be a smart thing to do throughout the season. However, due to an increase in pricing and likely higher ownership percentages, I don’t suggest going down that road.

CLEVELAND INDIANS

Almost seems as obvious and chalky as the Rockies, but we have to profile somebody here, right? The Indians are obviously a wise choice, but maybe more so tonight than many prior to. You see, Bartolo Colon is just the right guy to stack against. The Big Sweat has not been good all season and in his last three starts, he’s surrendered a total of 18 hits, 16 earned runs, four homers and struck out just four. He’s not foolin’ anybody - except MLB General Managers who continuously roll him out there. The Indians have cooled off a bit from their historic run, but still rank in the top third in wRC+ over the last two weeks (9th) and they put the ball in play at a great clip (just 18.8% K-rate over the last fourteen days).

Best Bets: Jose Ramirez; Francisco Lindor; Austin Jackson; Edwin Encarnacion

Value Plays: Jason Kipnis; Jay Bruce; Carlos Santana

NEW YORK YANKEES

This one is purely based on being just red hot at the moment. Don’t mess with the Yankees right now and with Blake Snell of the Rays the likely-to-be next victim, we’re saying go “all in” with the pinstripes. Snell has settled down after a rough six-earnie outing against the Twins on 9/6, with two solid outings. He’s been up-and-down most of the season and when you’re looking to stack, you’re looking for those disastrous outings from the pitchers who are prone to them. Familiarity breed contempt. The fact is that if a group of hitters sees a pitcher more and more, the more likely they are to crush him. Snell has matched up with the Yankees twice in the last two months. The results have been mixed; but he’s managed to go just 5.0 and 5 ? in both of those starts (four combined earned runs).

Best Bets: Aaron Judge; Gary Sanchez; Brett Gardner; Matt Holliday

Value Plays: Clint Frazier; Didi Gregorius; Todd Frazier

MILWAUKEE BREWERS

I know, I know...they are inconsistent as they come. However, you just need one big night from them - something they can surely deliver. The Brewers have something to play for and they get Deck McGuire at the friendly confines of Miller Park tonight. What a time to make your first start in the Majors, huh?  The Brewers will be licking their chops and sitting dead-red on the 28-year old rookie. Throw out the Double-A numbers (2.79 ERA) and realize that this is the Bigs. Load up on the Brew Crew bats tonight.

Best Bets: Eric Thames; Ryan Braun; Domingo Santana; Travis Shaw

Value Plays: Eric Sogard; Stephen Vogt; Neil Walker

Game Stack option: GIANTS at DIAMONDBACKS

If you like the game stacks, here is one for you. On the surface, a battle between Matt Moore and Robbie Ray may be one to avoid, but there are two factors that have me feeling this one getting up there in total runs. First, the venue. Chase Field continues to be a solid hitters venue - even if it’s taken a small step back this year. Secondly, consider who is behind the plate. According to our handy dandy Umpire Report tool, we have Jeff Nelson calling balls-and-strikes tonight. He’s posting a 9.61 runs per game, second-highest on the slate tonight and a 61.9% over on the total this year.

As always, good luck tonight!
