Welcome to the final day of the NHL regular season! For those of you that started this journey with me in October, thank you for the support as the campaign certainly had its ups and downs. 

That didn’t stop me from finishing my 4th consecutive season of NHL picks as a success and up over 20 units on the season! Not to mention the Dog of the Day being a money maker as well.

Blackhawks vs. Kings Prediction: Thursday, April 18

Only a pair of teams have something to play for tonight and the Kings are one of them as they hope to finish 3rd in the Pacific Division with a win tonight, avoiding the Wild Card slot. The Kings are a good team and especially at home where they are 21-12-7 on the season. 

It's not so much about them though as it is the team they are playing in the Blackhawks. Chicago is the worst road team in hockey – okay, maybe it’s the Sharks, but it's close. They finish up the season looking at a 7-32-1 record away from home and are 12-28 against the spread. 

The sportsbooks have seen this and it's why the odds are juiced up tonight. I won’t be bothered with that though as the Kings should show up and dominate this game with full motivation to avoid a top seed in the playoffs. Give me LA on the puck line for my Blackhawks vs. Kings picks tonight.
