Joel Embiid: Philadelphia 76ers

Although he’s listed as questionable, there is almost no doubt that Joel Embiid is going to suit up tonight. Anytime he’s been on the floor this season he’s been absolutely dominant. He averaged 34.7 points per game, which would have led the league if he qualified. 

Also, on a per-36 basis, that number was 37 PPG. We should expect Embiid’s minutes to rise considering the magnitude of the game and the desire to win this game. The winner of this game avoids the Boston Celtics in the first round.

Garrison Mathews: Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are facing a shortage of players tonight, with Mathews stepping up as a key bench player. His main role is to spread the floor and hit three-pointers. Lately, he has been getting more playing time, surpassing 20 minutes in four consecutive games. With Krejci out for the playoffs, Mathews could see even more playing time. 

He has been consistent in making multiple threes in games and is up against a Bulls defense known for struggling against three-point shooters. Since the All-Star break, the Bulls have been allowing a high number of threes per game and have a low three-point shooting percentage against them.
