Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 3-23-14
Only four games tonight and have been very busy so this list is going to be shorter than usual. Below are players I like based on value, production, and matchups. The cheap plays are players who should exceed their value while not costing a lot, the mid-tier group are players that should produce big numbers while not breaking the bank, and the expensive players are high priced players who are worth every penny.
*Fantasy points (FP) and pricing are based on DraftStreets scoring system.
Jordan Hill- Started at PF last night and produced 30.5 FP in 27 minutes of playing time. He is going to start again tonight and gets a another great matchup vs Orlando.
Matthew Dellavedova- has performed admirably in Kyrie Irving’s place as he is averaging 12.5 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assist and 35 minutes in the past two games. Has to be in lineups considering how cheap his price is.
Arron Afflalo- Is from the L.A. area and will get at least 25 FP vs a brutal Lakers defense. His price is low so take advantage of it while you can.
Ramon Sessions- The safest cheap play with a chance to boom is “Razor Ramon”. He is averaging 25 FP in the past three games and faces a Sacramento team that plays little defense.
Mid-Tier Value Plays
Nikola Vucevic- He kicked ass last night vs Utah (39 FP) and will have another dominating performance tonight vs the Lakers. Believe he is a must start as he will easy get 30 FP and a 40 FP performance is not out of the question.
Dion Waiters- Gets a great matchup vs the Knicks and has played 40 plus minutes in three straight games. He hasn’t produced less than 27 FP in any of those three games. Get him in lineups as he will be jacking up shots and dishing out assists all night long.
Amar'e Stoudemire- Had 37 FP last time he faced Cleveland. Good price and will exceed value
Tobias Harris- I know the circumstances were different, like Vucevic was out, but he had 28 points, 20 rebounds, and 4 assist the last time he played the Lakers. It is just some food for thought as Harris is a risky play, but could have a monumental type game.
Like all four of the expensive plays tonight. Carmelo Anthony should have a monster game vs a hurt Cleveland team. Pau Gasol is good for 35 FP tonight, but I would rather play a cheaper center tonight. DeMarcus Cousins is another great option, but this game could get out of hand fast and Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas have also fared very well vs Milwaukee. They will all get plenty of shots tonight and believe that will hurt DMC production. Brandon Knight and Isaiah Thomas will both have great games vs each other.
