Point Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Russell Westbrook | OKC | 4 | Westbrook has absolutely been the fantasy MVP all season and he continues to attack with force down the stretch. |
2 | Ricky Rubio | MIN | 5 | Rubio gets the major bump due to having the fifth game and he has been shooting very well from the field over the last couple of months and has been a nice fill-in for Zach LaVine. |
3 | James Harden | HOU | 3 | Harden gets downgraded slightly due to the lack of fourth game, and he continues to have almost as good of a season as Westbrook except with more scoring options. |
4 | Damian Lillard | POR | 4 | The Blazers front court took even more of a hit upon losing Jusuf Nurkic meaning that the offense will need to be generated EVEN MORE by the guards. |
5 | John Wall | WSH | 3 | Wall continues to be the glue that holds the Wizards offense together. The reason why they have been so successful is because of the their up-tempo style of play and teams have trouble covering them on the break. |
6 | Stephen Curry | GSW | 3 | Curry continues to keep the Warriors scoring at a very high level as Kevin Durant rehabs and he still makes sure he watches for cutters and doesn't only shoot. He has not abandoned his PG duties. |
7 | Kyrie Irving | CLE | 4 | Even though I give Irving a hard time because the longer he plays into games he starts to tire out and it impacts his play, he is still an excellent combo guard with great controlled driving ability. |
8 | Mike Conley | MEM | 4 | Conley will need to shoot and create more on the offensive end with Marc Gasol hurting and he has done a great job of getting open at the top of the paint. |
9 | Isaiah Thomas | BOS | 3 | Thomas is labeled a ball hog, but his outside scoring is what the Celtics need right now, especially with their main inside driver Jae Crowder hurting. He will need to continue to drive more or force the ball inside. |
10 | Kemba Walker | CHA | 3 | Walker continues to be the main source of offense and he never attacks from the middle, always on an angle because he waits for the screen at the elbow. He has been taking more mid-range jumpers. |
11 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 3 | With Dion Waiters still out, the Heat have had to rely more on Dragic's scoring even though they have other options. Dragic has done a great job this year finding the balance between shoot-first and playmaker. |
12 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | Holiday has generated most of his offense from the outside and when the Pelicans bigs attack, they require a ton of attention and Holiday is often left open with the ball at the top of the key. He can take steps in. |
13 | Jeff Teague | IND | 3 | Teague's attack is still very effective and he can make drive and go high off the glass which shows just how controlled his drive is to the hoop. He gets a lot of open mid-range jumpers and the Pacers are unselfish. |
14 | Chris Paul | LAC | 2 | Paul would obviously be higher in these rankings, but he has the short slate for the week. |
15 | Dennis Schroder | ATL | 3 | Schroder continues to grow as a guard, but it has been tough for him to find consistency in which role he has to play because the Hawks have had players in and out of the lineup. His quickness definitely stands out. |
16 | Elfrid Payton | ORL | 3 | Payton is a very solid passer, but his shot selection will have to improve. He tests his hot streaks a lot with off balanced shooting. He tries to create a little too much with the ball, but the Magic lack scoring options. |
17 | D'Angelo Russell | LAL | 3 | Russell continues to grow and he has been able to create open shots for himself and read the screens he gets properly. He has been getting a lot more open lanes, and he has been watching the paint more for cutters. |
18 | Jeremy Lin | BKN | 3 | Lin is back and does not even need 30 minutes to be productive because he spots up for shots a ton and he has a solid drive unlike the rest of his team. Expect Lin to have 16-point 6-assist games down the stretch. |
19 | J.J. Barea | DAL | 4 | Barea is getting a bit of love due to Dallas guard injuries and having a full slate. Barea will attack and has an excellent tear drop. For a player his size, he will take a lot of contact. |
20 | George Hill | UT | 3 | Groin Injury, he may have to miss a game this week. |

Shooting Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | DeMar DeRozan | TOR | 4 | DeRozan sticks to the top spot with a full slate and even if Lowry makes his return at the end of the week, it can only help DeRozan because it will take some of the attention off of him. |
2 | C.J. McCollum | POR | 4 | As I explained with Lillard, Nurkic being out will benefit McCollum to because it will give him more time with the ball to create as the Blazers will need to use attacking as their main source of inside production. |
3 | Gordon Hayward | UT | 3 | If George Hill has to miss time, Hayward gets a ton more time with the ball and he has been driving a lot more this season and looking to feed Gobert. His assists should rise. |
4 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 3 | Beal continues to be very effective in attacking the mid-court and driving down the middle. As soon as Beal gets a step in the lane, it is hard to stop his drive without committing a hard foul. |
5 | Nicolas Batum | CHA | 3 | Batum will always stand out because of his long rebounding. He is one of those players that uses his lean-in jumpers to kick-start his momentum when crashing the boards. |
6 | Klay Thompson | GSW | 3 | Thompson will still get a ton of shots from the arc with Durant still hurt and even though he is a bit scoring dependant, we know we can always depend on him to be the top option with the second unit. |
7 | Victor Oladipo | OKC | 4 | Oladipo has been a bit more helpful on the glass and he is trying to stick in the lane, but ultimately, he's at Westbrook's mercy and he has to stay by the arc to be a bailout option. |
8 | Avery Bradley | BOS | 3 | Bradley has been a bit sick over the last couple of days, but it should should not impact him for this week (for now). |
9 | Devin Booker | PHX | 3 | Booker has benefitted a ton with Bledsoe out as he has become the main shooter and main scorer and while the Suns are seeing what they have at the end of their bench, Booker will continue to lead the charge. |
10 | Gary Harris | DEN | 4 | Will Barton being hurt will benefit Harris and put the ball in his hands a bit more. Harris has been good at waiting for the right time to creep to the elbow for open jumpers. |
11 | Wesley Matthews | DAL | 4 | The Mavs need all of the scoring help they can get and if Dirk Nowitzki has to miss time this week, Matthews will benefit and have the lane and post all to himself and he will certainly get more time with the ball. |
12 | Khris Middleton | MIL | 3 | Middleton will continue to be the second option on the Bucks and he will continue getting open looks from the top of the key at The Greek Freak always likes to attack. |
13 | Patrick Beverley | HOU | 3 | Beverley's speed and able to quicken the pace on the court keeps him in the game and he has no problem using his speed to attack and take contact. |
14 | Lou Williams | HOU | 3 | Williams is a lot more controlled than other guards on the team when he has the ball. He is an excellent creator from the corner and always cuts back door when the ball is at the top of the key. |
15 | Eric Gordon | HOU | 3 | Gordon is used mostly as a bailout option and does not look to drive a lot, but because all of the other players look to attack, he gets a lot of open jumpers and can hit deep three-pointers. |
16 | Seth Curry | DAL | 4 | Minor Shoulder injury, but should be active for the full week. |
17 | Tyler Johnson | MIA | 3 | Johnson will continue to benefit with Waiters being out and even though he can be inconsistent with his jumper, he will look to attack both on and off the ball. He hustles on both sides of the ball. |
18 | Courtney Lee | NY | 4 | Lee's defense keeps him in games, but expect him to pick up shots down the stretch as Derrick Rose is done for the year and Carmelo Anthony has been in and out of the lineup. More shots, more scoring, more PT. |
19 | Kentavious Caldwell-Pope | DET | 3 | With Reggie Jackson hurt, expect KCP to get even more jumpers from his favorite spot; the elbow. KCP will have more time to create and find the cutter inside so his stats should rise. |
20 | Jordan Clarkson | LAL | 3 | Clarkson has been driving a lot more successfully to the rim and he has quickness and will look to steal the ball. His shot selection has improved down the stretch and his minutes will stay up. |

Small Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | CLE | 4 | The King has a full slate and yes he is THAT more productive than Wiggins. |
2 | Kawhi Leonard | SAS | 4 | Leonard also stays above the super-slate player because of his production in every category and LaMarcus Aldridge is hurting and may have to miss games, meaning more opportunity. |
3 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 5 | Wiggins is mainly a scorer. Every few games he will contribute boards and assists, but with this super slate, he should be one of the top scoring guard/forwards for the week. |
4 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 3 | Greek Freak is an excellent attacker and is a major help with the defensive stats and his main issue has been staying out of foul trouble, but he can rotate to multiple positions. |
5 | Jimmy Butler | CHI | 3 | The Bulls lack consistent offensive weapons outside of Butler so the world is his oyster at this point and he will continue playing deep into games and he will have the most time with the ball. |
6 | Paul George | IND | 3 | George has been a bit vocal lately about how unhappy he's been with teammates lack of hustle, and he will now need to play extra motivated to show everyone he's calling out that he's doing all he can on the court. |
7 | Danilo Gallinari | DEN | 4 | Gallo is fully healthy and will be the Nuggets main shooting weapon down the stretch. Jokic requires a ton of attention and they have other attackers, so he will be open and is another player who can hit deep three's. |
8 | Wilson Chandler | DEN | 4 | Chandler is also fully healthy and can rotate to multiple positions and he is an excellent attacker who takes a lot of contact. He can pull back outside if needed and hit jumpers as a Jokic bailout option. |
9 | Harrison Barnes | DAL | 4 | With Nowitzki hurting, Barnes will get a scoring boost and he will be needed to take more shots down the stretch. Barnes is excellent on the ball defensively and he will be a big help in all categories. |
10 | Carmelo Anthony | NY | 4 | Knee and Back Injuries, he could be shut down for the remainder of the season. |
11 | Otto Porter | WSH | 3 | Porter will continue being a big three-point shooting threat on offense. On defense, he shuts down the opposition and he will get enough rebounds and steals to make up for mainly hanging at the perimeter on offense. |
12 | Trevor Ariza | HOU | 3 | Ariza's role is completely safe because he is a fantastic defender and a big steals help. Ariza will always be open to hit the knockdown three-pointer from the top of the key and will shoot more with Ryan Anderson hurt. |
13 | Tobias Harris | DET | 3 | Harris has been an excellent attacker and continues to burn post defenders with quick one-handed moves to the basket and he will get good positioning inside for crashing. |
14 | Jae Crowder | BOS | 3 | Left Elbow soreness, may have to miss a game this week. |
15 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 3 | If there is one thing we have learned about Fournier this season is that he is the top shooting option on his team and loves taking shots off of single screens. He will look to follow up his shots. Shots will always be there. |
16 | Ersan Ilyasova | ATL | 3 | Ilyasova does a great job of not leaving the paint until the possesion changes and he has been a major long-range shooting and long rebounder helper for both the Hawks and the Sixers. |
17 | Michael Kidd-Gilchrist | CHA | 3 | MKG will always help in steals and blocks. He does have a mid-range game, but it is inconsistent. Teams tend to leave him open on offense and he will crash the boards. |
18 | T.J. Warren | PHX | 3 | The Suns need all of the scoring help they can get and Warren is very scoring dependant, but the shots are there and he has become the second scoring option behind Booker. |
19 | Moe Harkless | POR | 4 | With Nurkic out, Harkless will get more shots and time to attack the inside with the ball as the Blazers lack inside weapons. Harkless has a mid-range game, but takes contested jumpers and it's hard to rely on. |
20 | Rodney Hood | UT | 3 | With Hill hurting, Hood will need to be a bit of a playmaker and he will be taking more shots from the arc down the stretch. Most of the team attacks, and he will spend more time waiting to be fed at the arc. |

Power Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Anthony Davis | NO | 3 | Davis is one of the rare players who is still a top option with other players on the board who have multiple games more than he does and his production has not been impacted with the arrival of Cousins. |
2 | Kevin Love | CLE | 4 | Love has been playing very effectively both inside and outside and his balanced attack has left defenses confused and he is able to get open in the post. |
3 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 4 | Jokic has improved a ton throughout the season and it is hard to stop his attack once he begins his drive. He can do a lot with one hand and is easily the Nuggets main inside weapon. |
4 | Gorgui Dieng | MIN | 5 | Dieng gets the major boost with the super-slate and he is excellent at gaining positioning inside and can always be relied on for boards and garbage scoring inside. He has also developed a baby jumper. |
5 | Kristaps Porzingis | NY | 4 | Porzingis will be taking a ton more shots down the stretch as Rose is done and Anthony has missed time. The Knicks may look to shut him down if he starts to struggle or first sign of being in pain. |
6 | Draymond Green | GSW | 3 | Green has done a great job of playing dirty inside and whether its elbowing or kicking his way inside for positioning, you can rely on boards and blocks more than scoring. |
7 | Paul Millsap | ATL | 3 | Millsap is back and looks healthy and was able to be productive from the field his first game back. Millsap is absolutely needed as the Hawks head towards the playoffs. Playing time should return to normal. |
8 | Serge Ibaka | TOR | 4 | Even though Lowry is looking like he is on his way back in the lineup, he will be on a minutes retriction and he will look to attack while Ibaka will continue to wait to be fed at the key or elbow. |
9 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 4 | He is suffering from a left thumb sprain so he may miss a game or two this week. |
10 | Dirk Nowitzki | DAL | 4 | Achillies soreness, could miss games this week. |
11 | Zach Randolph | MEM | 4 | Randolph continues to get the job done inside and if Marc Gasol has to miss time this week, the inside will virtually be his and he will get a ton of minutes as JaMychal Green has also been banged up. More boards opps. |
12 | Julius Randle | LAL | 3 | Randle mainly works from the paint on both sides of the ball and he has developed up and under and spin moves in the post this season. On defense, he does not get pushed around easily and can be relied on for boards |
13 | Blake Griffin | LAC | 2 | Griffin has not looked back since returning from injury, but is downgraded because of the short slate this week. |
14 | Markieff Morris | WSH | 3 | Morris continues to use his baby jumper effectively and Wall has consistently fed him towards the middle of the paint on the drive. Morris can move quick for a big man and is able to keep up with the pace. |
15 | Marvin Williams | CHA | 3 | Williams has stood out down the stretch and he gets the ball at the top of the paint, squares up, shoots and then attacks to keep the play alive. He has been better at boxing out on the other side. |
16 | James Johnson | MIA | 3 | Johnson has been hard to get around in the post and he has helped the Heat be a second source of inside scoring and he stops attackers on the other end. He is absolutely reliable on both sides. |
17 | Trevor Booker | BKN | 3 | With Booker, you mainly get boards and total low block play. He's physical, takes a ton of contact, and has the paint to himself because Brook Lopez is allergic to playing inside. |
18 | Dario Saric | PHI | 3 | Saric will have to step up even more and could be the difference maker to winning and losing in your leagues because Robert Covington is done for the year and he has become the top scoring option. Oh, it's true! |
19 | Greg Monroe | MIL | 3 | Monroe continues to be a wildcard each game. There are games in which you see him play and think that he is a top five forward and then the next game you realize why that's not the case. Very inconsistent. |
20 | Marcus Morris | DET | 3 | Like his brother, Morris also has a jumper except with better range. Morris has done a great job getting open at the elbow all season and teams are focused on Drummond cutting and he gets free lanes. |

Center
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 5 | Towns SHOULD be the highest fantasy producer for the week with the super-slate, no excuses, unless he gets a night off for rest. |
2 | DeMarcus Cousins | NO | 3 | Boogie moves to the second spot due to the lack of full slate. His production has been impacted a bit playing alongside Davis and the Pelicans will need to eventually separate them and get rid of Cousins. |
3 | Hassan Whiteside | MIA | 3 | Whiteside continues to be one of the best defenders in the league and a monster rebounder. He has made a huge impact and the Heat a defensive force due to his aggressive play attacking and on the glass. |
4 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 3 | Gobert continues to impress with good moves in the post, excellent attacking with the ball and his jumps are very well-timed on defense and blocks shots consistently. |
5 | Andre Drummond | DET | 3 | Drummond does not have any moves in the post, but he utilizes his size and is a tough rebounder and gets a ton of chances to score from right inside. |
6 | Marc Gasol | MEM | 4 | Left Foot Strain, undetermined how much he will play this week. |
7 | Dwight Howard | ATL | 3 | Howard's time with the ball will take a bit of a hit this week with Millsap back, but he always has double-double potential and as long as he cuts, he will find positioning inside. |
8 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 3 | Vucevic continues to be the Magic's most complete player inside on both sides of the ball. He has excellent foot work and can spin to both sides and find his way to the basket. He is very tough on the glass. |
9 | Pau Gasol | SAS | 4 | Gasol should be fed more this week if Aldridge has to miss a couple of games and we know Gasol has good finess inside and can create from the elbow. Expect his minutes to go up. |
10 | Al Horford | BOS | 3 | Horford is an excellent outside shooting Center and can always be relied on when it comes to jump shooting, but he does not play as much in the paint like a Center should and is a horrible defender. |
11 | Brook Lopez | BKN | 3 | Lopez is another excellent jump shooter but for some reason, he never sets up inside or looks to post. It's very strange and a 7'1 Center should be a more effective rebounder. |
12 | Jonas Valanciunas | TOR | 4 | Valanciunas' shot better be on point because with Lowry coming back, he will be in a major battle for shots because DeRozan, Lowry and Ibaka all require a lot of time with the ball to create. |
13 | DeAndre Jordan | LAC | 2 | Jordan would definitely be higher in the rankings this week, but he has the short slate. |
14 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | Adams is very gritty inside and he will get the job done with inside paint presence and will score on a lot of putbacks. He's very controlled in the post on both sides of the ball and he will take contact. |
15 | Tristan Thompson | CLE | 4 | Thompson can always be relied on for boards and will only have big scoring nights when he's facing the worst interior defenders. He always looks to cut and gets open, but does not get fed. He's frustrated. |
16 | Enes Kanter | OKC | 4 | Kanter stretches the floor a bit more for the Thunder because of his effective shooting from the outside. He will look to attack the paint and use his size, but the Thunder mainly keep him on the perimeter. |
17 | Myles Turner | IND | 3 | Turner will continue to be an attack first Center but he will utilize his jumper when he is left open. He has been good at reading screens off the ball and getting fed when open. |
18 | Clint Capela | HOU | 3 | Capela is the Rockets main rebounder and will be fed a bit more inside with Anderson still out. Capela has been a good attacker and he won't give up on plays and fights for loose balls. |
19 | Cody Zeller | CHA | 3 | Zeller has a couple of one-handed post moves and can bang inside for positioning for putbacks. Zeller can create on the ball and will take contact, but health has not been on his side this season. |
20 | Marcin Gortat | WSH | 3 | Gortat has been slow and his minutes have been taken away by Ian Mahinmi because he has been the better defender and is able to keep up with the pace on offense. Gortat has been sluggish down the stretch. |
