Point Guards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | James Harden | HOU | 4 | "The Barber" of an offense cut just right for him. |
2 | Russell Westbrook | OKC | 3 | Within those triple-doubles expect even MORE scoring with an injured Victor Oladipo. |
3 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 4 | Lowry is finding his groove outside and is taking more shots. Don't need to worry about assists dropping. |
4 | Kemba Walker | CHA | 4 | Controls both the pace and everyone else's shot selection. Walker looks to drive first and will pop back out with the ball and scoring. |
5 | John Wall | WSH | 3 | Even with just 3 games on the slate, Wall not only controls the offense and speeds down the court, but he is always pass-first b/c of the amount of times he drives into traffic. |
6 | Eric Bledsoe | PHX | 4 | Bledsoe gets the most shots and is excellent at reading through screens at the top of the paint. It gets him in the lane more for easy buckets. |
7 | Mike Conley | MEM | 4 | Conley looks fully healthy and has certianly returned to being the top option on this team that continues to get plagued by injuries all around. |
8 | Jeff Teague | IND | 4 | Jeff Teague has been able to pick up the scoring load of the injured Monta Ellis quite well. More time with the ball translates to more opportunities for him to score. |
9 | Isaiah Thomas | BOS | 3 | Thomas gets a lot of screens right at the key and pops without any hesitation. Thomas takes a ton of shots with possessions ending when he puts the ball up. |
10 | Kyrie Irving | CLE | 3 | Irving has a good shot, but will always look to drive first and is not afraid of taking on contact. He extends his body in the air to try to have a chance at three-point plays. |
11 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 4 | Dragic has stepped up on a team with no identity. As long as Dragic drives more than he shoots, owners should not worry, but once he depends solely on the jumper, he is not as reliable. |
12 | Rajon Rondo | CHI | 4 | Rondo will always get you the hard stats, but if you are thinking that a 20-point game can happen often, na brah! |
13 | Dennis Schroder | ATL | 4 | Schroder has improved his shot selection by only shooting when open in the corner and focusing more on his drive. He is playing a lot like his former teammate Jeff Teague. |
14 | Deron Williams | DAL | 4 | Even with Nowitzki back, his minutes are going to be restricted and Williams should still be the de facto No 1 scoring option until Dirk heals. |
15 | Damian Lillard | POR | 4 | Lillard would obviously be much higher, but he is dealing with an ankle injury that could cost him a game or 2. |
16 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | Holiday has made his own offense when Anthony Davis gets doubled in the high post. He has been effective both on and off the ball. He has a smooth drive from the top of the key. |
17 | Jeremy Lin | BKN | 3 | The Nets NEED consistent scoring and Lin not only has good ball handling ability and good agility, but he finds himself open a lot for three-pointers. |
18 | Derrick Rose | NYK | 3 | Rose is still capable of filling up a stat-sheet even if he is playing less minutes and scoring less points. Rose gives rebounding, assist and steals support. |
19 | Elfrid Payton | ORL | 3 | Payton has been scoring a bit more and that is not his strong suit. Luckily for him Evan Fournier is hurting and outside of Nikola Vucevic, the Magic have no other offensive weapon. |
20 | Stephen Curry | GSW | 2 | Get ready for the trend of the week with the Warriors players ending top 20 rankings. HINT: It happens in 4 positions. |

Shooting Guards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | DeMar DeRozan | TOR | 4 | DeRozan takes a different path to the basket every time he gets the ball and is a staunch defender on the perimeter. He makes some of the toughest turnaround shots in the league. |
2 | Nicolas Batum | CHA | 4 | Batum has been a major force both offensively and defensively. He has been excellent at reading screens and getting open from downtown and has been efficient on the glass. |
3 | C.J. McCollum | POR | 4 | With Lillard ailing and possibly missing time, the McCollum will take the reigns as the top scoring option on a Blazers team that relies on their backcourt for offense. |
4 | Zach LaVine | MIN | 4 | LaVine has been excellent at both driving from the top of the key and hitting long range shots from there. LaVine has been effective in crunch time in close games. |
5 | Dwyane Wade | CHI | 4 | Wade continues to read screens and hit jumpers from mid and long range. Wade normally gets the screen at the key, goes through it and pops, has has helped with finding the cutter from there |
6 | Gordon Hayward | UT | 3 | Derrick Favors continues to have limited minutes and George Hill remains sidelined and Hayward will continue to get a ton of shots and time with the ball. |
7 | Avery Bradley | BOS | 3 | The ultimate balance player in the NBA who can do just as much damage on offense as he can on defense. Always looking for swipes on defense. |
8 | Patrick Beverley | HOU | 4 | Some how, some way Beverley has been able to break through and get a piece of the Rockets offense. He always goes fishing in the lane for rebounds and plays over 30 minutes per game. |
9 | Reggie Jackson | DET | 4 | Jackson continues to shake the rust and as many wing options as the Pistons have, Jackson will have the most time with the ball and most decisionmaking. |
10 | Eric Gordon | HOU | 4 | Gordon gets his piece of the Rockets offense with his smooth jumper with the quick release. He can hit easily from 3 feet behind the arc. |
11 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 3 | Beal continues to get open at the elbow and will take advantage of weak defenses because the Wizards are always looking to attack. |
12 | Wilson Chandler | DEN | 3 | Chandler continues his balanced offense of slow-moving into the paint and alternating that with his pick and pop offense and can be relied on for assists and rebounds. |
13 | Tyler Johnson | MIA | 4 | Tyler Johnson is quick and very effective on transition, and gcan hit the cutter. He is mainly in situations in which he gets the open jumper and doesn't have to pass. |
14 | Devin Booker | PHX | 4 | Booker has been shooting a bit better and working slow to get open. He is not forcing up wild shots and not just trying to draw contact. Booker is working more right outside the paint. |
15 | Lou Williams | LAL | 3 | Williams perimeter shooting and defense is needed as the Lakers continue to struggle keeping the scoring down. Williams still uses his back door cut effectively. |
16 | Kentavious Caldwell-Pope | DET | 4 | It is expected that KCP will lose shots, but that will give him an even more effective shot selection and he can continue to try to cut in the pait for more scoring chances. |
17 | Wesley Matthews | DAL | 4 | Matthews has been good at getting the ball and scoring from the high post. He often draws small defenders and is able to back in twice on them or square up for a slightly contested jumper. |
18 | Sean Kilpatrick | BKN | 3 | Not giving up on Kilpatrick because the Nets still cannot find rhythm and he has at least been attacking the basket to try to create more chaos. Brook Lopez isn't doing that. |
19 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 3 | Most reliable scoring option for the Magic, but is suffering from a heel injury and could miss a game or 2 this week. |
20 | Klay Thompson | GSW | 2 | Another 2-game Warrior to round out the rankings. |

Small Forwards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 4 | He does everything, plays all positions, and only needs to learn how to not foul or at least not be obvious about it. The Bucks can't survive without him. |
2 | LeBron James | CLE | 3 | Keep attacking the rim! Stick to your strengths! Find your shooters! |
3 | Jimmy Butler | CHI | 4 | Butler has been asking for the ball in the most more and with his quick spin moves to the basket, it has been hard stopping him. When he continues going post, you know his confidence is high. |
4 | Paul George | IND | 4 | George will not demand the ball too much, but the Pacers need offense with Ellis out and Goerge continues to utilize his strength inside rather than calling for the ball all the time at the key. |
5 | Kawhi Leonard | SAS | 3 | Leonard continues to be a force from the middle and outside. Leonard never leaves the mid-court until the play is over and focuses on rebounding. |
6 | Carmelo Anthony | NYK | 3 | Anthony is a bit more scoring dependant, but you can still rely on him for rebounding help and he will still go inside to keep plays alive. |
7 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 4 | Wiggins has never seen a shot he doesn't like. Sometimes, he will dribble and take 2 steps to the side and just pop. The shot opportunities are there and he just needs to drive more. |
8 | Trevor Ariza | HOU | 4 | Ariza will continue to be the Rockets bailout option from long-range and is a hound on the perimeter defensively and is always good for steals and rebounds. |
9 | Harrison Barnes | DAL | 4 | Barnes scoring is still needed as Dirk Nowitzki continues to shake the rust and he has been using his strength nicely in the post and not giving up on plays as much and forcing wild shots. |
10 | Otto Porter | WSH | 3 | Porter is very diciplined with his shot selection and plays excellent perimeter defense. He is good at anticipating the Beal cut, so he can pop out and bailout Wall and get open jumpers. |
11 | Tobias Harris | DET | 4 | Harris continues to get the ball in the mid-post and has underrated strength and a quick step to the basket. He seems to never have a problem working in from the elbow to mid-paint. |
12 | Danilo Gallinari | DEN | 3 | Gallinari continues to get open and is hard to guard from long range because of his size. He is the Nuggets most reliable shooting option. |
13 | Jae Crowder | BOS | 3 | Crowder has been creating his offense solely from the elbow posting up. He looks to back down his defender quickly when he gets the ball. |
14 | Moe Harkless | POR | 4 | Harkless will get a ton of playing time and scoring chances because of the lack of mid-court weapons and Blazers injuries. |
15 | Ersan Ilyasova | PHI | 3 | Ilyasova has been burning defenders from the key and is good at getting the ball in the post, passing out, setting the screen and then popping out for open jumpers. |
16 | Will Barton | DEN | 3 | Barton not only has a good mid-range jumper, but he can also back down smaller defenders. He will continue to compete for the No 2 scoring option role for Denver. |
17 | Rodney Hood | UT | 3 | Hood will continue to be a dangerous weapon from downtown as Hayward will look to drive first and then feed an open Hood who will either shoot or fake, take 3 steps in and then shoot. |
18 | T.J. Warren | PHX | 4 | Warren has been scoring in the high teens and has given the Suns a little bit more offense from the elbow and will continue to pick up minutes and scoring opportunities. |
19 | James Johnson | MIA | 4 | With the Heat dealing with injuries, Johnson has stood out and we have see more double digit scoring efforts with rebounding help. This will result in more playing time for him. |
20 | Kevin Durant | GSW | 2 | THE Warrior of the Warriors ending the rankings. Save the best for last? |

Power Forwards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Anthony Davis | NO | 3 | A.D. stands ALL DAY when it comes to high volume fantasy production. |
2 | Paul Millsap | ATL | 4 | Giving Millsap a bit of a bump after seeing him a bit more involved in the offense. He is always calling for the ball and is a constant scoring threat from inside and outside the paint. |
3 | Kevin Love | CLE | 3 | Love continues his effectivness from long-range and once you think he's settled, he will burn you in the post. |
4 | Jabari Parker | MIL | 4 | Parker continues to show that The Greek Freak has help and Parker has been excellent at posting up and making quick turns to the basket. |
5 | Kristaps Porzingis | NYK | 3 | Porzingis has been driving with force and you can always rely on him for rebounding, blocks and a lot of deep three's. |
6 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 3 | Aldridge is another player who is effective from multiple spots on the court. Defenders forget to cover him on the perimeter and is left open play after play. |
7 | Dirk Nowitzki | DAL | 4 | Dirk IS a No. 1 scoring option, but the Mavs are certainly watching his minutes, at least for the first two games. He can score with limited minutes. |
8 | Gorgui Dieng | MIN | 4 | Dieng continues to improve his mid-range game because team's are not guarding him outside of boxing him out once the shot goes up. Could get more offensive involvement. |
9 | Serge Ibaka | ORL | 3 | Ibaka is good for blocks, steals and every few games, his three will be on point, but for some reason will not call for the ball in the post. |
10 | Trevor Booker | BKN | 3 | Booker continues to be the best defender and rebounder and sometimes I think he is the only player that cares about stopping the other team from scoring and winning. |
11 | Taj Gibson | CHI | 4 | Gibson's baby hook and multi-pump fake plays to draw contact have helped him pad his stats. Nikola Mirotic continues to be just a minor playing time threat. |
12 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 3 | Jokic has been very effective in the post and does have moves to the basket. In games, if left open, he will take mid-range jumpers. He is not easy to get by in the post. |
13 | Zach Randolph | MEM | 4 | Randolph continues to provide offense and be a pest on the perimeter. Randolph has a step back jumper that he uses to shake defenders and teams forget his range. |
14 | Ryan Anderson | HOU | 4 | Teams don't forget Anderson's range as he will have a lot more time with the ball with Clint Capela out. |
15 | Thaddeus Young | IND | 4 | Young continues to be ultra-involved against teams who are weak defensively in the paint and then will pass most of the game against skilled defenders. His flow constantly changes. |
16 | Greg Monroe | MIL | 4 | Monroe has good post moves and can hit baby jumpers, but is still not relied on heavily by the Bucks and could be held to limited minutes in games. |
17 | Kenneth Faried | DEN | 3 | Always good for rebounds, second-chance scoring and blocks, but is still very raw offensively. |
18 | Markieff Morris | WSH | 3 | Morris has been utilizing his jumper effectively and also can get inside and grab offensive rebounds. Morris is tough to box out. |
19 | Derrick Favors | UT | 3 | Favors still cannot shake the rust and his minutes are limited because of it. Once the Coaches lengthen the leash on him, he will move back up to a prominent spot. |
20 | Draymond Green | GSW | 2 | Last Warrior to end the rankings! I promise! |

Centers
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 4 | Towns stays at the top due to the full slate and because……Ok, you know how good he is! |
2 | Hassan Whiteside | MIA | 4 | Scoring does not come easy, but he makes attacking the rim look easy and he can always be relied on for rebounding. Whiteside is developing post moves to give the Heat more offense. |
3 | DeMarcus Cousins | SAC | 3 | You're great Cousins! Never change! You just have 3 games this week. |
4 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | Drummond's scoring won't come from outside the paint and he does not call for the ball, but he may be the toughest player to box out in the entire league. |
5 | Marc Gasol | MEM | 4 | Gasol has been calling for the ball a lot more in the post and scoring using up and under moves. He still utilizes the key, but has been working inside more. |
6 | DeAndre Jordan | LAC | 4 | Jordan is the same offensively-challenged player, but with the Blake Show out for a while, he could see usage in the post offense and will be the top transition option. |
7 | Al Horford | BOS | 3 | Horford has been driving the lane more and not just relying on his three-pointer. If he has room down the middle, Horford will look to drive immediately upon receiving the pass. |
8 | Dwight Howard | ATL | 4 | Has an injured back that could keep him out for a couple of games this week. If in, he will produce. |
9 | Jonas Valanciunas | TOR | 4 | The jumper continues to add more to the Raptors overall offense and he is calling for the ball at the elbow and will even look to create rather than just be deep in the post gaining position. |
10 | Myles Turner | IND | 4 | Turner's offense will be needed because Young is having trouble getting to the rim and Turner looks to post on the low-block and get the quick pass to at least draw contact. |
11 | Brook Lopez | BKN | 3 | Lopez continues to shine offensively and disappear on defense. The guy thinks he's a magician. Wish he could put a rebounding spell on himself. |
12 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 3 | Gobert will fight for points in the paint, but he is able to control the paint on the other side of the ball and can be relied on for consistent rebounds and blocks. |
13 | Joel Embiid | PHI | 3 | Let's see if this is the week that the playing time starts to improve because if he can get 10 more minutes of playing time, he will be TOP CENTER effective. |
14 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 3 | The Magic don't seem to know what to do with Vucevic because they are saving him to beat up 2nd units, and they have limited offensive weapons up front. Doesn't make sense! START HIM! |
15 | Mason Plumlee | POR | 4 | Plumlee seems to be the only Blazer having semi-consistent success in the post. Plumlee is good at following up shots and immediately boxing out. It goes a long way and keeps plays alive. |
16 | Tyson Chandler | PHX | 4 | Expect doublle-digit rebounding on a per game basis with blocks and little to no offense despite the fact that he has a jumper. |
17 | Pau Gasol | SAS | 3 | Gasol continues to be quietly productive and he is filling his role. Nothing standing out unlike in years past, but he is getting the job done. |
18 | Robin Lopez | CHI | 4 | Lopez has been calling for the ball more in the post and has a few baby hook post moves that have been effective. He is very aggressive inside and will grab rebounds. |
19 | Tristan Thompson | CLE | 3 | It is hard to predict whether or not Thompson will score in double figures, but runs the pick and roll nicely and plays tough in the paint when it comes to rebounding. |
20 | Steven Adams | OKC | 3 | No Warrior here, just a tough gritty player that could very well be the Thunder's co-No. 2 scoring option with Oladipo hurt. Always good for boards. |
