Denver Broncos

Head Coach – Gary Kubiak (1st Year)

Offensive Coordinator – Rick Dennison (1st Year)

Defensive Coordinator – Wade Phillips (1st Year)

Offensive System: Gary Kubiak and Rick Dennison have worked together for many year dating back to their days with the Broncos back in the late 90’s. Kubiak will likely call the plays while Dennison is in charge of reinstalling the patented cut-block system along the offensive line. They will not mess with Peyton Manning or the passing game much at all but should have a profound effect on the Broncos ability to run the ball and the fantasy value of C.J. Anderson or whoever is running the ball in Denver in 2015.

Players That Fit The System: Peyton Manning, C.J. Anderson

Defensive System: Wade Phillips brings his tried and true 3-4 back to the mile high city. Although Jack Del Rio also ran a 3-4 base defense, his style was more of a two gap style for the defensive linemen relying on the LB’s to stay back in coverage. Phillips system differs slightly in that he runs a one gap style which will have the LB’s such as DeMarcus Ware & Von Miller rushing the line of scrimmage much more often. The Broncos defnese will aim to put a lot more pressure on opposing QB's under Wade Phillips than they did under the previous regime. Although this will put a lot more pressure on the defensive backfield, it also creates more turnovers historically.

Players That Fit The System: Terrance Knightton, DeMarcus Ware, Von Miller, Aqib Talib

Summary: Gary Kubiak, Rick Dennison and Wade Phillips are as good a fit in Denver as any new coaches could ever be in any destination. The Broncos offense however will continue to run through Peyton Manning as he is the only QB in the league or in the history of the NFL for that matter to actually have his own playbook and complete run of the offense. There will be a learning curve here though especially in the running game. But assuming Manning is healthy and that they find the right fit at RB the Broncos should once again be a prolific scoring and fantasy machine in 2015.
