Yesterday’s Rockies/Dodgers rain out gives us an extra game to play with today, not that it matters for the pitching coach, but you can potentially get some Coors exposure in both the day and the night slate. Does that increase your desire for some low-cost dart? Maybe. I just wish I had more for you as today looks like a day to pay up for pitching. Here’s a look at the data:

Chris Sale, CHW – Tigers are swinging the bats well, but they’re right about league average against lefties this season. Sale’s 3.80 ERA against Detroit this year is skewed by a bad start in early May, He’s faced them twice since and allowed just five runs over 15 innings with a 17:2 K:BB.
Felix Hernandez, SEA – The Rangers’ .318 wOBA over the past week is about league-average right now but it also comes with a 23.5-percent strikeout rate. He hasn’t faced them since Opening Day, but when he did, he dominated.
Justin Verlander, DET – The White Sox rank 25th in the league with a .305 wOBA against right-handers and that comes with a 20.6-percent K-rate and a below-average .146 ISO. Verlander has pitched better at home than on the road this season and the one time he faced the White Sox this year, it was in Comerica and he held them to two runs over seven innings with an 8:1 K:BB.
Mike Fiers, HOU – The A’s have been downright awful lately with a .255 wOBA over the last seven days. Even better for Fiers is that it comes with a 22.8-percent strikeout rate and a .095 ISO.

Corey Kluber, CLE – The Twins are sitting on a .307 wOBA with a 22.7-percent strikeout rate and just a .127 ISO over the past week. They’ve also been mashing the ball in the dirt 52.1-percent of the time in that span which should work nicely for Kluber and his 1.50 GB/FB this season.
Gio Gonzalez, WAS – If there were ever a time to use Gio, it would be now as the Phillies bats are ice-cold. We’re talking a .239 wOBA with a 27.9-percent strikeout rate and just a .119 ISO.
Jason Hammel, CHC – While the Pirates are striking out a bunch lately, they’re also not putting good wood on the ball. The .295 wOBA is disappointing, as is the ,372 slugging percentage and .136 isolated power mark.
Bartolo Colon, NYM – An opponent doesn’t get much softer than the Marlins right now as their .284 wOBA over the last seven days is as awful and disappointing as their league-worst .081 ISO in that span. Even Colon can dominate these bats.
Luke Weaver, STL – Moving into dart territory here. Weaver has looked better with each start he makes and now gets the Brewers who have been below average against righties all year, but over this past week, they’ve posted just a .300 wOBA with an outrageously atrocious 32.3-percent strikeout rate.
Matt Wisler, ATL – Who doesn’t love picking on the Padres? Wisler makes for a nice low-cost GPP play facing the Friars who have a .274 wOBA over the past week which also comes with a 29.5-percent strikeout rate.
