2022 Player Outlook

After playing second fiddle to shiny new rookie Kyle Pitts in 2021, Hayden Hurst again finds himself as a number one tight end. In 2021, Hurst found himself in a blocking role, blocking on 43.5% of his snaps. This number should drop if C.J. Uzomah's blocking rate is any indication, so Hurst will find himself available as a pass-catcher once again. However, Cincinnati's tight ends are not consistent fantasy assets due to the trio of wide receiver talent, so Hurst shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a streaming option in 2022.
