2022 Player Outlook
Turner was a big acquisition at the trade deadline last year for the Dodgers. In his two months with the Dodgers, he slashed .338/.385/.565 with ten home runs, 11 steals, and 41 runs scored. Between his time with Washington and Los Angeles he set career highs for home runs (28), but career lows in steals (32). He did only steal 12 bags in 2020 but that was with the shortened season. He was the only hitter with 25 home runs, 25 steals, and a .300 batting average. Heading into 2022, we should expect a slight drop in home runs, while hopefully more steals and RBI since he won’t be leading off as much in the Dodgers’ lineup. The batting average should be steady so expect Turner to contribute across many categories. For all the reasons, Turner is an easy top five pick in 2022.
