2022 Player Outlook

Wong hit .272 last year with 14 home runs, 50 RBI, 70 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases for Milwaukee. Pretty solid I must say after he hit just one home run in 2020. His walk rate was rather low last year at 6.3 percent, but he maintained his low strikeout rate and even put forth a career-best 5.5 percent barrel rate. If the Milwaukee Brewers can stay healthy, and Wong can take a few extra walks, he could have a really productive year at the top of the Brewers' lineup. The dearth of power from 2020 seems to be an outlier, and there's nothing to suggest that he won't provide double-digit home runs and stolen bases again in 2022. He might not be an overly attractive selection in drafts, but it wouldn't surprise me if he performs like a top 15-18 second baseman this year.
