CFB DFS Lineups: Top Plays
Josh Hoover, QB, TCUÂ
DK: $8,800 | FD: $10,600
One of the highest totals on the slate features TCU as home favorites against Iowa State. That puts Josh Hoover into the conversation as a top quarterback play. He’s been up and down from a DFS perspective lately, but he can take advantage of this matchup. Iowa State ranks 93rd in the country in pass defense during conference play, while allowing big stat lines to opposing QBs in 3 of the last 4 games. Hoover has shown the upside to go for 30+ DK points with 3-4 passing TDs. One of those performances could be coming at home, where he’s averaging 31.8 DK points and 305.5 passing yards this season.Â
Gunner Stockton, QB, GeorgiaÂ
DK: $8,300 | FD: $11,000
The QB position is loaded with top options this week. One who could outperform those priced higher is Gunner Stockton. The Georgia quarterback will take on a Mississippi State defense that ranks 116th in passing yards allowed per game in conference play. Even on the road, Stockton has the potential to go off in this matchup. We’ve seen his ceiling games multiple times this year, and the spread/total combo this week suggests Georgia should be on the right end of a potential shootout. Stockton has some dual-threat upside as well for a possible 30+ DK performance.Â
Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio StateÂ
DK: $8,200 | FD: $10,000
We also could’ve gone with Buckeyes’ QB Julian Sayin as a top play on this slate, but we’ll look at his elite wideout instead. Jeremiah Smith doesn’t always live up to his expensive price tags, though he’s certainly capable in any given game. He’s averaging 6.9 receptions per week with 10 TDs through 8 games. Smith just went off for 123 yards, 2 scores, and 33 DK last game – and he can easily do it again here. Purdue ranks 104th in passing YPG allowed in conference play, despite not facing many potent passing offenses. Ohio State should win big, but Smith will surely produce en route to the easy victory.Â

CFB DFS Lineups: Value Plays
Kedrick Reescano, RB, ArizonaÂ
DK: $4,700 | FD: $7,100
There are definitely more trustworthy RBs on this slate. Yet, Kedrick Reescano presents some sneaky value in a favorable matchup. The junior has seemingly taken over Arizona’s lead-back role from Ismail Mahdi over the past month. In the last 3 games combined, Reescano has 29 carries compared to 16 for Mahdi. The former also has 144 rushing yards and 3 TDs in this stretch. Kansas has struggled to stop the run in conference play, allowing 196.5 rush yards per game (116th in FBS) and 5.26 yards per carry (122nd). The defense has also given up 13 rush TDs over 6 league games.
Zachariah Branch, WR, GeorgiaÂ
DK: $5,100 | FD: $7,300
Georgia’s top receiver was a value for us last week, and it paid off big time. Zachariah Branch went off for 112 yards and 10 receptions with 24 DK points. It’s now his third straight game with 8+ catches in a high-volume role in the UGA passing attack. So, let’s go right back there since the price is still cheap. Branch now faces a Mississippi State pass defense that’s been torched lately, allowing 269.0 passing yards per game vs. conference opponents (116th in FBS). The Bulldogs look to get Branch the ball on quick receptions as much as possible, which should keep his floor high with the upside for more, like he did last week.Â
Gabe Burkle, WR/TE, Iowa State
DK: $3,500 | FD: $5,000Â
A week ago, Iowa State tight end Benjamin Brahmer was carted off the field after suffering a scary injury. His absence should now open up more playing time and passing targets for Gabe Burkle, who steps into the starting TE spot. Brahmer leads the team in receptions and receiving TDs this year. Burkle, meanwhile, is second on the squad in receptions and fourth in yards. Now, he's likely to get a bump in usage. Plus, TCU has a subpar pass defense, ranking 118th in the country in passing yards allowed per game this season, with 17 pass TDs allowed in 8 games.Â
