Kiermaier wound up missing nearly two weeks after sustaining a strained quad back on April 4. Biddle made one appearances with the Reds during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign, after making 30 appearances split between the Braves, Mariners and Rangers, back in 2019. The 29-year-old lefty will provide some bullpen help for the Braves, who have been hit hard by injuries recently.

Wilson failed to make the Braves' Opening Day rotation, and figures to gobble up some innings in a versatile swingman-type role for an injury depleted bullpen. The 23-year-old righty owns an underwhelming 5.91 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 37/25 K/BB ratio across 42 2/3 innings (15 appearances, seven starts) at the big-league level since 2018.

This really came out of nowhere. There haven't been any recent reports that Newcomb was dealing with an injury, and the Braves didn't specify a reason why he's been placed on the injured list. Inciarte sustained the hamstring injury while running the bases during the fourth inning of Friday's win over the Cubs. There is no word on the severity of the strain, but it's likely that the 30-year-old outfielder will miss at least a few weeks. With both Inciarte and Cristian Pache sidelined due to injury, it'll be veteran journeyman Guillermo Heredia patrolling center field for the foreseeable future.
