Ullmark was injured in Tuesday's game against Boston. There aren't many weeks left in the season, so interim coach Don Granato didn't appear to be very optimistic about Ullmark's availability. If the Sabres netminder is done for the rest of the year then he performed well under difficult circumstances. He has dealt with injuries and the team has struggled in front of him, but he still managed to post a 9-6-3 record with a 2.63 goals-against average and .917 save percentage in 20 appearances.

“We’re not saying his season is over by any means," said coach Jon Cooper on Friday. He added that the team should know in the next 24 hours whether Stamkos' injury is related to core surgery from last year. Still, Stamkos is expected to return when he's eligible, which could be shortly after he comes off the LTIR list in early May.

He has been sidelined since March 10 after he had to undergo hand surgery to repair a fracture from a fight against Vancouver's J.T. Miller.
