The Hornets have officially acquired Gordon Hayward in a sign-and-trade with Boston.

To facilitate the deal, which pays Hayward $120 million over four years, the Celtics included future second-round picks in the 2023 and 2024 drafts. They'll get back "a conditional 2022 second-rounder, according to Shams Charania, in addition to a hefty trade exception. Hayward instantly becomes the No. 1 option for a Hornets team that desperately needs efficient scoring punch -- they ranked 27th in adjusted Offensive Rating last season. It's a clear upgrade for fantasy purposes that should drive Hayward's average draft position into the early-middle rounds.

The Rockets are in trouble, missing nearly half their roster due to injury or trade. Tucker should get a lot of run, too.

Jamal Murray says that he has a bruise on his elbow that bothers him every time he shoots a basketball.

“My elbow bothers me on every (shot)," Murray said. "I got a bruise there. Every game I seem to hit it or kinda tweak it again.” This explains a lot for Murray, one of the world's best shooters who has made just 15 out of his last 38 shots from the field. He's relatively underwhelmed for much of the season considering the leap most expected him to take after a hot run in the bubble. Look to see if Mike Malone chooses to rest him at some point to get his elbow fully right. Otherwise, he could continue to be a shell of himself on the floor.

MPJ has been out for over a week now after testing positive for COVID-19, so it's a great sign for fantasy managers that he is nearing a return. He was averaging nearly 20 points, seven rebounds, one steal and 1.5 blocks prior to his quarantine period, and the Nuggets could surely use him back in their lineup.
